“Ordered from here on the recommendation of a friend. I will admit I was skeptical of a Chinese restaurant that doesn't offer delivery. Was pleasantly surprised at some of the different offerings on the menu from our typical Chinese spots. Additionally all the food seemed fresh and tasty. There definitely was a "difference."“

The jjajang sauce was very flavorful and mixed well with the noodles. Rating 8/10

The cream fried shrimp reminds me of walnut shrimp from Chinese restaurants. Shrimps are big. The frying is good. The sauce taste like mayo, honey and a bit of mustard. 8/10“

“This place is a gem! I'm so happy they opened this location! I was sad when the one on Main Street closed down due to a fire but the chef came to this location! The service was great and the coconut chicken was so juicy and tender. My dad is from Hainan so I can say the taste is definitely authentic. They even have clay pot rice! The casserole was very flavorful too. This is going to be our new spot from now on! I highly recommend this place. Definitely try their coconut dessert ~ to die for!“

“The food is here is by far one of the more reliable places to get Asian Cuisine. The food is not overly fried or heavily seasoned. We come here occasionally after the dog park visit, and we have yet to be disappointed. The wonton soup is a must have, better than anywhere else I have tried. The prices are also very good. Normally I have something criticizing to say but I genuinely appreciate this place for a cheat night. You won’t feel guilty with the fun of take out. The place is small and there isn’t anywhere to eat if you wanted. The customer service is good, however you will need to wait in your car because there isn’t much room to wait inside and no where to sit. Give it a try. Photo is my wife pounding down one of their egg rolls because she can’t wait till we get home (Not oily at all). As healthy as Chinese food can probably get in NYC.“

“Excellent service, first Chinese restaurant that I feel like I was in Colombia, unsurpassed service, they spoiled my child a lot and were attentive to what I was giving him, which was very hot, they brought him happiness cookies, they talked to him about why he didn't want to eat I recommend it 100% and it happens to be my favorite Chinese restaurant. In addition, the food is very delicious and at an excellent price. As you can see, we both left very happy.

“Came here with family for a causal dinner. We were surprised how generous the portions of the dishes were and they were all reasonably priced. On top of it, all the dishes were pretty tasty and reminded me of the flavors from my childhood. The owner and waiters were friendly and made sure the dishes came out fast as we have small children with us. Definitely recommend this place, it is a neighborhood gem.“

“TLDR: Looking for a solid HK style spot, Sweet Wonton is a good choice. Definitely get the house special rice noodle stir-fry, personally I like switching it to the thinner rice noodles. Tasty wonton/dumplings too!

Little Neck has pretty solid Cantonese food now, Sweet Wonton on Northern is a popular spot for good reason. Stick to the staples but the wonton soup in the bone broth is tasty. It's got that rich almost tonkotsu like creaminess but with the shrimpy flavor that you come to expect from a HK wonton or dumpling soup.

The house special sesame stir-fried rice noodles is so good. Salted fish, dried squid, chives - ask to switch to the thinner rice noodles which I think tastes better. The textures are good, lots of flavor and tremendous wok-hei.“

“Came here to grab a quick bite before going on my day and this is your typical neighborhood neighborhood Chinese takeout spot. You have a large menu with fairly good options and the standard bright yellow fried rice that's usually around. The price is reasonable and there are lunch specials and combo options too. Not bad for somewhere to get something quick. It's more a takeout spot but you can also sit and eat if you want to and they are pretty accommodating in that regard. Not a bad option to consider in the area.

I went with a group of eight, and despite the size of our party, they accommodated us quickly and efficiently. The staff was friendly, and the service was impressively smooth. We were seated and served without any delay.

The food was far beyond our expectations. We ordered the Jjajangmyeon set menu with spicy garlic chicken and sweet & sour pork, as well as beef bibimbap. Every dish was bursting with bold, authentic flavors, and the portions were generous.

The seafood jjampong was another standout—packed with fresh, flavorful seafood in a rich, spicy broth. It was the perfect balance of spice and freshness.

“Secret Kitchen is a solid Cantonese restaurant located in Fresh Meadows and it's such a convenient location on Horace Harding with so many other stores nearby. There is a small parking lot around the corner, but street parking is also available. I've been coming here for a few years now and their food has always been consistent. Their Gold & Silver Egg Fried Rice is probably one of my favorite dishes from them. It's full of flavor and they load it with something super crispy that gives the fried rice that extra texture. I wish I knew what the English name is for this dish, but the one with stir fried veggies with seafood and fried silky tofu with shrimp on top is another one of my favorites. I haven't tried their lunch specials, but apparently it is worth it and delicious. There's so many other dishes that they do really well, but honestly anything you order from them will be good.“

I love the spice level and it is very appropriate given the levels provided. I had the malatang about 4 times and the dry hot pot once. The beauty in this place is the ability to truly pick what you'd like to eat and cater it to your liking. It is pretty self explanatory : You pick things you like, they cook it and you eat. Tons of asian classics from mungbean to wood ear mushroom to fuzhonesee fish balls and many many more. The drink options include your traditional fare of Sodas alongside some other hidden treats (HK style iced tea) and many more. The service is absolutely amazing. The staff even with a language barrier are very nice and helpful and always offer a smile. I have gone 5 times and have not left disappointed once. If you read this review, let's support small businesses in our towns. Finally, the best part : the food. I really enjoyed the food it was the perfect level of acidity to spice to mouth-numbing sensation. My only advice for anyone eating is to eat with your brain and not your eyes or else you'll overorder. IMO : This place is a solid 5/5. I really recommend you try this. “Wasn't so familiar with malatang specifically, but we've had plenty cultural variations of it. You put what you want in a bowl and they add the broth. Good amount of potential ingredients and was a sizable dish-was able to share one bowl between two people. The broth was nice.

We also grabbed some meat skewers which we probably didn't need-didn't add much to the meal. The meat in the broth was nice. I'm a little confused about the offerings for the dipping sauce as it seemed a bit random, but it did the job.

“The people here really go out of they're way for you. The food is pretty good. I ordered chow fon pork and it was delicious. The boneless spare ribs were on point, better than other places in this area.
The egg rolls were nice and crispy, and flavour full. My father in law said he liked the seafood delight. I liked the dumplings, they were really authentic. My dad said the chicken and broccoli was good, and he used to run a restaurant.
My only issue was the egg rolls were smaller than other places, and the hot spicy beef forgot the beef. It was all onions and peppers...
Despite that they gave us a coupon and over all I would definitely eat here again.“
