“Saturday night and we wanted to have something good and different to eat. Google helped to make it ! A great experience ( the service was great) and delicious food ( steak sandwich SUPERBLY DELICIOUS and the chicken one on the second place! But when a dessert time comes it was from another planet!! The most tasty and amazingly delicious handmade vanilla bean ice cream (the one with coconut and some kind of liquor) was the cherry on top of the night. 100 % recommended restaurant”

“The staff upfront is so nice. She politely answered all my questions and helped me understand the menu. I ordered the coconut smoothie and the coconut mango milk. The coconut smoothie is so light and refreshing for the heat, definitely good for someone who doesn’t like super sugary drinks. The coconut mango milk is so delicious and you get to choose the sweetness. I also ordered the general tsp bento box and it came with a lot of stuff. Good portion sizing I really liked everything I ordered. Also when ordering the food they let you put an allergy which is super accommodating. I will be back.”

“My sister loves this spot so had to check it out. Enjoyed their cara caramel latte and latte with vanilla malt syrup. Tons of pastries to choose from. Enjoyed their spinach feta as well as breakfast burrito. They sell merch and tons of other cute knickknacks. Plenty of space to sit and enjoy whatever you end up ordering. The coffee baristas were super nice. Will be back for more caffeine!! You can encounter long lines depending on what time you come in.”

“In a small town like Malverne, you only have three decent delis to choose from, and every morning it’s the same story, long lines. When you’re trying to grab breakfast before work, every minute counts. Add in a full parking lot, no spots out front, and now you’re parking on the street risking a ticket. And if you live in Malverne, you know the “friendly” meter maid, he’s quick with those tickets. It sucks. I don’t think the owner of this deli realizes what we go through just trying to support a local business.
In my attempt to save time, I call my order in ahead. But if I still have to wait on line just to tell the counter guy I’m there for pickup, it defeats the whole purpose. Creating two lines would fix this: one for people who call ahead (like me, who’s late everywhere) and one for walk-ins. You’d streamline the phone order process, serve more customers, and make mornings a lot smoother. Funny enough, I had this same conversation with a few neighbors, and they said they skip buying breakfast in town altogether for this exact reason.

My second suggestion: have one person dedicated to charging customers. It doesn’t make sense for the guys behind the counter who are preparing food to put on rubber gloves, grab money, make change, and then go right back to handling food with the same gloves.

Besides that, when you do have time, enjoy the food because it’s great!”

“One of the best Kbbq if not the best kbbq restaurant I’ve ever been to. The eel was so fresh, the short rib was marinated to perfection. But the best thing on the table was the kimchi. The kimchi was crunchy, it was seasoned perfectly, and it was fermented just enough to pair perfectly with the proteins. The hospitality was amazing! The lady treated our party like her relatives and showed us what’s real hospitality is. My friends and I love how kind she was to us and we could not ask for a better meal. We will definitely come back more often!!”

“Stopped by the Hindu Temple Canteen for breakfast and tried the Pondicherry Dosa, Rava Masala Dosa, Vada, and Madras Coffee.

The Pondicherry Dosa was crispy on the outside with a flavorful filling inside. The Vada was really good, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Rava Masala Dosa was a little oilier because it's made differently, but still tasted good. Both dosas tasted pretty similar once dipped in the chutney and sambar.

The Madras Coffee was really good too. Everything was fresh, and the prices were reasonable. Our total was only $30.48.

Overall, a nice spot for a simple South Indian breakfast. I'd definitely come back!”
