“You know your prime rib be juicy when you leave a ring of it on your placemat. ? This place takes their prime rib very seriously. They were incredulous when I asked for an end cut because you’re only getting one if you time it right. Thankfully, I nailed the timing. In their defense, it shows their dedication to their craft, which is to make the most succulent prime rib in CNY!“

“Just a great mom and pop bar/grill in CNY. We stopped in because we were craving some wings that were talked about on Google Maps as we were driving around. According to past reviews about Tavern on the Gorge about thier wings, we gave it a shot. When we got there on our particular Monday, the owner Bill said that the kitchen was closed on Monday's. After letting Bill know that Google Map reviews brought us there for the wings, he turned on the fryer and made us some of the best damn wings in the CNY area!! Low and behold, another group of folks walked in and saw us eating wings and put in a HUGE order of wings as well. Needless to say, we had a second order of wings along with playing a few rounds of Quick Draw till our wings were ready. Overall, a nice little bar with a great owner. Thanks Bill!“

“Myself and four friends went there for Friday fish fry. The service was prompt the place was very clean. Large selection of draft beer on tap as well bottled and canned beer in the coolers. We all ordered the Utica beer breaded fish fry. Cannot be more happier with their meal the fish was huge and lightly breaded. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Large selection of craft beers. I definitely will be back.“

“Laufer’s has been a go-to date night spot for my wife and I for a while food is top notch! So good that we’ve been there 4 weeks straight for fish tacos during the lent season. Truly a hidden gem with the best food in the area Also, don’t leave without trying desert, you will never regret their deserts!“

“Food was great, however the menu was out of date, and we weren't told what was wrong with it (no ciabattas, other wing sauces). Bar has a decent selection of craft beers, but the draft list placed prominently in the middle of the room, that the waitress pointed is to, was incorrect, and the waitress was obviously neither a craft beer drinker, nor trained on what they did have. She was pleasant, but needed some training.“

“A great place to grab a bite. I recommend the sports bar portion of the restaurant. Always have good service over there and never a complaint about the food. They even made my steak just the way I like it. Highly recommend.“

“Tho is rustic, they only use the finest fish, steak, shrimp, chicken & beef! There dishes surpass my 60 years of cooking! I don't know how Rich does it! He cooks better than I do!! The chicken wing, steak sandwiches, fish fry are all unbeatable!! My #1 desirable hidden gem & literally less than 1 mile from my home!! How lucky am I?? My favorite bar also!! Do yourself a service & check out Marcy Tavern!!“
