“I do like the environment here but the bartenders will walk past your empty glass multiples times while looking at it and never ask you if you would like another. They will serve others when you’ve been sitting there long before. It’s a fun place and the food is amazing, but the bar serve is not it.“

“Myself and four friends went there for Friday fish fry. The service was prompt the place was very clean. Large selection of draft beer on tap as well bottled and canned beer in the coolers. We all ordered the Utica beer breaded fish fry. Cannot be more happier with their meal the fish was huge and lightly breaded. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Large selection of craft beers. I definitely will be back.“

“Food was freshly made. The lobster Mac was a huge portion. It was enough for 2 people. The garlic cheese bread was warm and cheese was melted perfectly. We also tried the shrimp riggies. They were absolutely delicious. I like McGill’s because there are lots of Mac and cheese toppings. He also has different choices for the riggies, not just chicken. The servers are excellent! Don’t sleep on this place, it is excellent. Mark does a great job?“

“My family & I moved back to the Utica area about a year & half ago. I wish we had tried Laufers on our very first day. We have had nothing but great food & the most friendly encounters with their family staff! I’m always happy to hear Alyssa’s voice on the other end of the phone when ordering! Their fish fry is ABSOLUTELY to die for! Not only is the breading light and flavorful but the fish itself is so fresh and delicious it could be eaten alone. We can’t wait to order again next weekend, I vow to try their entire menu! Hats off to the Laufer family for creating such great tasting food & such a friendly atmosphere!!“

“Food was great, however the menu was out of date, and we weren't told what was wrong with it (no ciabattas, other wing sauces). Bar has a decent selection of craft beers, but the draft list placed prominently in the middle of the room, that the waitress pointed is to, was incorrect, and the waitress was obviously neither a craft beer drinker, nor trained on what they did have. She was pleasant, but needed some training.“
