“Food is very good. Service, and prices are always good. Lots of TV's for sports including all NFL games. Usually have a couple interesting beers on draught beyond the usual stuff. Lighting is both a little dark yet glaring. Also, using barrels as table and bar supports doesn't leave much room for knees and feet. Nevertheless, hard to go wrong here.“
“Hands down my favorite wings - really crispy, be aware that hot = hot. Friendly service. The place isn't fancy but it's friendly - we've been going there, and it's a drive for us - for wings for 20 years. Good spiedies too.“
“Not the best part of the town, seemingly. We were there with a few friends, played shuffleboard and had a few drinks. It was quiet, not many people there at the time, but we had a fun time. Brian (I think) was our server and whipped up the drinks with flair. Very friendly.“
“For people passing through like my family was on the way to the eclipse this place is a perfect stop for a road trip. Pizza was a great rectangle pie the wings are some of the best I've had both in size flavor and price. Kids had a blast looking at the pictures on the wall and the old Photo Booth. It was really a perfect stop for a perfect once in a lifetime trip. Thank you union hotel!“
“The best kept secret on this east side of Binghamton. Love the service. Food is A+ every time. Madison is great. We come on Tuesdays and she’s always there. I need to say though…. I come here for the chicken tenders just as much as I come here for the ranch dressing. I got my tenders tonight and after the first bite I said “did you guys get new ranch?!” It tastes like the little packages of ranch at McDonald’s. terrible. please bring back the old ranch. Please. Please.“
“Don't let the exterior fool you... Inside is a clean, friendly place with fantastic food and service. The wings are the the upper echelon of Binghamton's offerings, with a slightly sweeter sauce than most. The pizza crust is crispy on the edges and the sauce is a bit like a cross between Brozzetti's and Cortese.“
“One of the favorite bars of my youth.Glad to see the business taking the health of their staff and their patrons seriously, despite some visitors' misimpression that they have a "Constitutional right" to be the Covid equivalent of Typhoid Marys.Good for you, Downs Tavern!“
“Found this place late on a Thursday night on a trip through. Great burgers and fries! A total surprise! We sat at the bar, had a beer and dinner and the small crowd was surprisingly friendly and chatty! Ended up being a great place because we were looking for this type of place and experience. For the bartender who wanted me to name a song (and I couldn’t think of a thing…): Mustang Sally!“
“Stopped here with our kids after a visit to the discovery museum. (We are from out of town) The menu had something for everyone! The crispy onion burger was so packed full of flavor. The Thai chili wings were the best wings I’ve ever had down to the bleu cheese! You also can’t beat the prices! Waitress was super friendly and patient. We can’t wait to come back after another visit to Binghamton!“
“Didn't have a problem with college kids maybe too cold? I guess we just popped in after the rush. It was really nice actually. Milkshake was delicious food was good. I'd stop back in for some foot and a drink. The cider and beer selection was really good as well. No flights but they let us try something so I wasn't really bummed.Parking: We paid for parking on the street but it's really limited and it was .50 for 30 mins. Pay by tag.“
“what would I recommend about the Ice House? PICKLEBALL: The Ice House had the vision, and the spine to take a chance on the sport with the really funny name. Pickleball comes to the Ice House. Mike Rogers and his team are thinking outside the box, and bringing something fresh to the Southern Tier Community. First Ice Hockey, (which has been a staple in the community for many years), then The Ice Cream Shop....(who doesn't Loooooove Ice Cream.. That was genius)...And now Pickleball (Brilliant...Who could ask for anything more)? Mike Rogers and The Ice House took things one step further. They Created "The DinkARita" made for Pickleball Players, by Pickleball Players. And if you want to know that it is, you have to show up and find out. LOL LOL LOL ROCK ON Mike Rogers, ROCK ON! Here's to an exciting and productive off Season for Hockey, and a new On Season for The Ice Cream Shop and Pickleball.“
