Used to go every morning when I lived nearby. Friendly service but NOT cheap.
Don't be fooled by the name, it's not German or Jewish owned. It's a bodega run by a thoughtful, polite and welcoming group of Hispanics. The hot food is varied and delicious, lots of the staples. The cigarettes, snacks, drinks, coffee, alcohol, candy and odds and ends they sell tend to have a Spanish influence to them. They also have some produce and other refrigerated food items for sale.
