Made a quick return to Middletown from Virginia. Had to stop and get some Puerto Rican food while I was back on NY. The food and service were excellent! Highly recommend!??

Generous portions, delicious food. I’ve tried different Puerto Rican eateries in Middletown area, Newburgh and Poughkeepsie and by far this is the best. Owner is so friendly. I had a problem with the order taken over the phone but the owner made sure the girl that took the order corrected it right away.

Several of times with family and friends we ordered takeout. Some of my favorites was the steak and rice and beans. Also liked the stewed chicken. Foods can be a little on the greasy and salty sides. Overall experiences have been very good.?

I was stationed here from 2008 to 2012 as an Army recruiter. I would eat here 2 to 3 times a week. I now make it a point to go back to middletown 1 to 2 times a year just to eat here!!!! Absolutely amazing food!!!

Absolutely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for flavor, great customer service, and good prices. I stopped here for something quick to take back to my hotel room while I was in town. The owner was at the counter and immediately greeted us and made us feel welcome. We had the alcapurrias de yuca and chicharrones. The alcapurrias were huge, flavorful, and fried to perfection. The sofrito they use is absolutely homemade and so so good! The chicharrones oh my so delicious and a definite must have. So sad I live so far and can't come here often. Please stop by here if you're in the area. Everything was fresh and made to order.

The food is amazing here!!! Authentic, fresh, taste like abuelitas. 10/10 recommend.I had the alcapurria de yuca, empanada with shrimp and cheese. The rice with gandules was the best rice ever!!! All the food was tasty! Also, the platanos were nice and sweet. Quality authentic food.

Got take out for lunch here the other day with my friend who often comes here. Owner was very nice. Food was freaking fantastic!!!! I ordered pernil, rice and beans and a beef and cheese empanada and everything was perfect!!! I couldn't eat it all. I saved some of it for dinner which I split some with my mom too since it was such a large portion. I will definitely be back again!!!

$16 for a plate for dinner, you can't go wrong. After living in Puerto Rico, this feels like home! The food is amazing, you can't go wrong with anything you choose. The owners are the nicest people on earth. By far one of my favorite places to eat in Middletown. I prefer paying with cash to avoid the convince fee on the card but other than that, everything is perfect. You won't be disappointed.

I was visiting the area from the Bronx today. I decided to stop in before going back homebased on these reviews. This place EXCEEDED my expectations. As a Bronx native, I am surrounded by Dominican & Puerto Rican restaurants. This place is BETTER than most local places I've eaten at in terms of authenticity. Everything was cooked to perfection. The Pernil was not dry or overwhelming with oregano like most places. The flavors were just right. The habichuelas tasted like Abuelitas. They even had little pedazos of papas which I loooooved because that's what brings it home! If you know, you know! Absolutely worth the price. I like to enjoy my food and not have to compromise flavor or quality for cost. Definitely will be back when I travel up north again.

I finally got the opportunity to savor the ridiculously amazing food here. It's been over 28 years that I've been back to Middletown and this was the ONE place I couldn't wait to try and the service food and hospitality did not disappoint. Can't wait to come back. Thank you for providing real, authentic Puerto Rican food.
