I was stationed here from 2008 to 2012 as an Army recruiter. I would eat here 2 to 3 times a week. I now make it a point to go back to middletown 1 to 2 times a year just to eat here!!!! Absolutely amazing food!!!
Absolutely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for flavor, great customer service, and good prices. I stopped here for something quick to take back to my hotel room while I was in town. The owner was at the counter and immediately greeted us and made us feel welcome. We had the alcapurrias de yuca and chicharrones. The alcapurrias were huge, flavorful, and fried to perfection. Generous portions, delicious food. I’ve tried different Puerto Rican eateries in Middletown area, Newburgh and Poughkeepsie and by far this is the best. Owner is so friendly. I had a problem with the order taken over the phone but the owner made sure the girl that took the order corrected it right away.
