First ambiance is nice, but I can't eat it. Once we got seated, with no delay, the food was an hour and a half in coming. The owner seemed to believe this is ok, it isn't. Poor operation, and lack of concern may be ok in Manhatten, but it doesn't play well here in the burbs. The wait.staff service was good when there was something to serve. I recommend the onion soup, the rest of my groups selections rated ordinary.

I’ve been coming here for many years and the food is always impeccable! I’ve never had a bad meal nor ever had bad service. All the food is cooked in an open fireplace and adds the perfect flavor to everything, including steak, seafood and all the sides! This is family run and I’ve sent many people here over the years and have always been warmly thanked for the recommendation! A must try when your in Millbrook

We drove 45 minutes to dine specifically at the Millbrook Cafe and I have to say, the food (Chef Alex) and service (thank you Julian and John) did not disappoint. It was absolutely brilliant. I had the Sole with Shrimp and Scallops, my wife had the NY Strip and she was in heaven and lastly our friend had the Rack of lamb which was perfection. We loved meeting Dominika and learning about the history. We can’t wait to be back and we will.

We dine at the Millbrook Cafe frequently; Dominika and her family consistently provide wonderful food, attentive service and warm hospitality. This evening, Chef Alex prepared a beautiful, fresh piece of cod that was blackened and cooked perfectly; it was absolutely one of the finest pieces of fish I have ever eaten anywhere in the world.

Miss the café dearly I have been trying to master making my own French soup like how Alex makes it here like how I use to make it when I worked there in my younger years but it goes unmatched as only the finishing touch of Christoffs wood fired oven can add to it. My sister and brother inlaw got my girlfriend and I a gift certificate to the Cafe for christmas and we are looking forward to visiting and rekindling an old flame with o e of my all time favorite restaurants to eat as well as where I learned so many life lessons and how to cook. Is Chris still the owner of this restaurant? I was in Millbrook with my friend many years ago. Walking on the street Chris over heard us speaking in our native language and he invited us for a diner. I have to say the food was amazing!

Went to the Millbrook Cafe on a Saturday evening with my wife and sister-in-law period we started off with the seared scallops and the jumbo shrimp which were both excellent. Cooked to perfection and plentiful. Then we had the salad which was also very good and fresh. My wife had the full rack of ribs, sister in law had the avalon and shrimp, and I had the Brazilian lobster tail, shrimp and scallops. All three meals came with outstanding vegetables and red potatoes. All three meals were cooked perfectly. It is very easy to overcook lobster and shrimp but the cook was spot on, tender and juicy. Service, food and atmosphere were all top notch. Will definitely be back!

The Cafe is my partner and my go to place for a couples night out. We always pair our orders to share. I have never had a bite or sip that wasn't exceptional . I believe most items are cooked in the wood fired oven, to perfection. We usually go an hour before closing and never feel rushed. We enjoy the cozy ambiance and think it is a good value. Please don't come it is our special place. JK.
