“I was their yesterday and I haven't been there in a while but I had a great experience starting with my waiter Traves, extremely professional and very accommodating gentleman, the food was delicious and very large portions, the beer was ice cold on a 96 degree day was awesome, I will definitely be back very soon and hopefully Traves will be my waiter, see you later JOEY C.“

“Order on mobile app, came to pick it up released once we got to the car we were missing one ten piece nuggets. Came back Desiree was super super sweet about it and gave us cookies for the inconvenience. We both used to work in a food industry so we totally understand that mistakes happen especially during rushes, Desiree was a sweetheart about the whole thing though. I appreciate everything she’s done for us she is the sweetest.“

“Burgers were excellent. Service was good for latter half of visit. But initially single server overwhelmed with entire dining room and no help from bartender or manager. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were filthy. Will give it another shot in case it was just a rough night.“

“Had the pleasure of choosing Tara Inn for lunch today, every establishment can learn a lesson from the customer service that my friend and I experienced. Upon walking in we were greeted by Peter, Tara’s husband and son-in-law of the founder who named the bar for his daughter 47 years ago. We told him it was our first visit and he offered us seats and welcomed us. The regulars at the bar guided us through the menu and we each had a burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles for $1 per burger expecting very small burgers we were surprised to find them standard sized and deliciously prepared to medium. My friend had the fried shrimp and I had a $13 steamed lobster! Excellent! They offer daily specials and one of the gentleman at the bar told me their steaks are very good. Every staff person went out of their way to make us feel at home. A charismatic women came out from the back and introduced herself as Tara she thanked us for choosing to lunch there. Why can’t other places realize the importance of making a first time patron feel welcome. I
Had a great afternoon enjoying the excellent variety of beers that they provide on tap. The charming decor has probably changed little since the ‘70s and that adds to the vibe. If you want to go to the friendliest bar on Long Island, head over to Tara Inn.“

“I hadn't been to an IHOP in over a decade and never one back home on Long Island. I went with my eldest son to this one at his request (his first time at this location, too) and had a clean restaurant, friendly staff and excellent breakfast food. Definitely a pleasant experience - and funny thing... Even the to go container for the food I couldn't finish was top shelf! Honestly, it was better than a container I got from a $500 per person meal at a steak house!

They had a deal going where you choose your foods and they make you a platter/dish of food that I could not finish in one sitting, neither could my unc lol it was a lot of good food..did I mention it was only $7 a plate?! Usually $10, which is still totally worth it. I also tried their fries, OMG they're like Checkers Rallys fries but thicker!! So delicious and fresh!! “I had an issue on uber eats where my food wasn’t made correctly from a separate location. I called and honestly wasn’t the kindest at first because I thought I wasted my money. Both the worker at the front and Kevin the owner were so so kind despite it and helped this issue and made me a new order for half off. They were extremely kind and caring and I apologized over and over for my mistake as I also didn’t realize it was a separate location. They were so kind and so helpful I really appreciate their help as well as how this was handled.“

Delivery brings it down to four stars, sadly. Somethings always missing, unfortunately. Like, I've ordered a coffee with meals via delivery and over the course of a dozen deliveries it's been missing every time.“
