“Had the pleasure of choosing Tara Inn for lunch today, every establishment can learn a lesson from the customer service that my friend and I experienced. Upon walking in we were greeted by Peter, Tara’s husband and son-in-law of the founder who named the bar for his daughter 47 years ago. We told him it was our first visit and he offered us seats and welcomed us. The regulars at the bar guided us through the menu and we each had a burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles for $1 per burger expecting very small burgers we were surprised to find them standard sized and deliciously prepared to medium. My friend had the fried shrimp and I had a $13 steamed lobster! Excellent! They offer daily specials and one of the gentleman at the bar told me their steaks are very good. Every staff person went out of their way to make us feel at home. A charismatic women came out from the back and introduced herself as Tara she thanked us for choosing to lunch there. Why can’t other places realize the importance of making a first time patron feel welcome. I
Had a great afternoon enjoying the excellent variety of beers that they provide on tap. The charming decor has probably changed little since the ‘70s and that adds to the vibe. If you want to go to the friendliest bar on Long Island, head over to Tara Inn.“

I recently tried them for the first time thanks to the too good to go app and I am so grateful they did! The first time I had a beef dinner and a fried chicken dinner. The way they chop the beef and add different seasonings to it is what separates them from the rest.

I'm 49 and back in the day 5th Ave in Bayshore had all the good Spanish food but after 911 they all moved to Florida causing me to go to another place in Brentwood I don't wanna say their name cause it's all about Beuno Deli right now.

When I heard the name deli and was going there for dinner for the first time I was skeptical cause of the word deli, most people dont think about a deli when they want dinner I think you guys should change your name because the food you serve and the times you operate is definitely not like a deli. You guys downgrade your business by calling it that you are a restaurant and a very good one at that.

Whoever is in charge of making the recipes and cooking the food must have a culinary arts background cause those are chef dishes and not your typical generic plates you see in every other place. In other words you're not just getting rice and beans you are getting dishes that come with brilliant recipes not only that taste good but the way its preped and served makes it top notch!

There's a reason I drive all the way from Islip to Coram and I do it with excitement cause I know whatever I'm getting I know it's gonna be the best, other places don't even come close. To be honest I can never go to my local Spanish deli cause Beuno deli opened me up to a new world of taste that I didn't even knew existed.

The first time I went there I was blown away because when you pull up, the entire front of the store is covered with their different menu items you can get anything from a entire Lobster dinner down to your typical Arroz con Pollo and they close late like around 11pm what deli do you know that operates like this?

Keep up the great work hopefully you guys can open a Buenos Deli 3 here in the Islip area you'd guys would have people lined up all the way to 5th Ave in Bayshore lol“

At bk, I got 2 for $5 whopper Jr's., rodeo burger, value fries, chicken jr sandwich n chocolate orep shake, $17 total. Cashier commented that was a good deal for all that food. As if he never rang that combo up before. And as if, we were filming a commercial. With the grab of the bag and shake, the finished product was created. Off I drove, to watch the NY BASEBALL teams play. I remember when value menu was $1, not anymore. Fries were $2.19 and sandwiches $2 n up. Bk is better than McDonald's imo because it seems cooked better. Call it flame broiled, the 2 words seemingly engrained in our collective brains. It’s also one of the only places left where you can get an actual cooked meal for less than $10 that has protein. Highly recommend!

Although, the bread on my bbq brisket sandwich wasn’t toasted as shown on the website. And the inside either has no A/C or the A/C is broken, which isn’t great during a heatwave. Regardless, I’d still be willing to come back to order again here.“

“First time going. There was four of us. We all agree the drinks and service were excellent. All of the sandwiches were okay. They all could have used more cheese. They were only able to cook medium and more so those of us who prefer rare meat are out of luck. Two for one price on the drinks was great. We tried the Skrewball milkshake for dessert not realizing it was $13. A bit pricy. Overall it was a good experience.
