Davenport Press is one of my go-to spots for a delicious, consistently enjoyable meal. My favorite is the pistachio-crusted trout with perfectly cooked mixed vegetables. To end on a high note for me is their beautifully made cappuccino. Davenport is conveniently located just a 3 mins walk from the beginning of Track 2 of the Mineola stop on the LIRR. It's a warm, reliable favorite that hasn't disappointed.
Delightful place with excellent Italian-inspired cuisine. Attentive and pleasant service. Charming colonial atmosphere; pleasant buzz but quiet enough to be able to have a conversation at the table. We had a party of 5, and everyone enjoyed their meal very much - ranging from mussels to lobster to pork ossobuco with homemade tagliatelle, to fish to beef. Highly recommend.
