My daughter and husband had their wedding reception at Navy Beach restaurant recently. Service, food and venue were first rate. Was asked multiple times if all was well and communications with Franklin were great through the planning process and day of wedding. What a fun and festive vibe on the beach for the cocktail hour then dinner in the restaurant overlooking the beach! Bar service was polite, friendly and very helpful. All servers were polite and responsive. The food was fresh, well presented, perfectly seasoned and expertly cooked. Best meal I have had in a very long time! Guests were raving about the seafood appetizers and main meal. I loved the quartered perfectly cooked burger appetizer! A perfect venue for the wedding! Weather highlights its beauty. Fun vibe!

Food was okay but a little bland and pricey. Service was also okay but not great. The food did not feel like it was worth the price we paid for it.

Horrible experience.. got there at 5pm for a 5:30pm reservation, we grabbed a drink at the bar of which the drinks were so bad I had to send them back. We finally got seated, asked to sit at the table closer to the water, the waitress said we couldn’t because there was a reservation for that table .. however, they specifically told us you couldn’t reserve an outside table that it was first come first serve so I’m not sure how that table was reserved then? Also, if you order a drink and are sitting outside they will only serve you in plastic. I refuse to drink a $25 drink in plastic.. The tipping point was they charged my card $104 which was correct but then charged me an additional $88 2 days later …

The workers here, especially the older guy who works as the host and likely the manager have a huge attitude problem. If you don’t look the part, you’ll get treated differently here. They talked to me with no respect. Also, the sunset here isn’t even as great as people say. Not returning. Also be advised there is a mandatory valet parking here.

Truly one of the worst dining experiences ever. Save yourself the trip and don't dine here.

Extremely overpriced with rude customer service. The waitresses were quite disrespectful. The portion sizes are anemic I would've been finished in a few bites however, the worst part however was the food itself. Bland and tasteless. Could not finish and would not recommend at all.

I’ve been to Navy Beach multiple times but the service seems to be getting worse. We were a party of six for a 530 outdoor reservation. Our waitress was very sweet, but did not communicate well. If you’re looking to have a specialty cocktail, they do not serve a martini in a glass outdoors. You have to stay indoors for that. Only serve paper cups outside. That was disappointing. I ordered a martini and it came in a paper cup half full, if you’re going to give me a paper cup at least fill it…..it pitiful. No one received their food at the same time and three people didn’t receive their drinks till we were halfway done with our meal. How do you not have anyone’s drinks ready for over an hour? We ordered a lemonade that was $7 and an iced tea that was $3.50 Does that make any sense? My son ordered spaghetti and penne pasta came out instead, now I understand that they don’t always have the type of pasta you’re looking for, but the kitchen and the waitress should have expressed that to us instead of just bringing out whatever they felt like it. Again, the communication was horrible. I did enjoy the salmon tartar, and the other food that we had ,The view is beautiful, but not sure it’s worth the horrible service.

We spent over $400 on dinner at Navy Beach and left extremely disappointed. For the price, the food and service were far below expectations.

The entrées were drenched in butter — literally sitting in nearly an inch of it at the bottom of the bowl — making everything overly oily and salty. Nothing felt balanced or thoughtfully prepared.

The service was just as poor. We were told there were no lamps available, yet every other table had a lamp while we sat in the dark. No one checked in on us throughout the meal, and at the end we weren’t even asked if we wanted more drinks, appetizers, or dessert — the server simply dropped off the bill. When I asked about ordering the brownie with ice cream, I was told the oven was broken and it would “take a long time.” For a $400+ dinner, this level of service is unacceptable.

To make matters worse, the next day I received a text about a reservation I never made. I immediately called and spoke to the host, who assured me I would not be charged a cancellation fee. Despite that, my card was later charged. When I followed up, the restaurant insisted the reservation was made online and refused to take responsibility.

Between the terrible food, inattentive service, and the mishandling of a reservation I didn’t even make, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had. I would not recommend Navy Beach Restaurant.

Navy Beach is one of my favorite restaurants to visit each summer. You won't find a better sunset in Montauk. Our son has grown up going to Navy Beach exploring the beach.. and meeting new friends. For food, I love the scallops, lobster handroll, tuna lettuce wraps and fries.

Went here tonight with My family and it's easily the worst meal I've ever had here. The food was terrible and it took forever to get it. The manager was shocked when we sent back the kids pasta because it was disgusting. For the amount of money we spent this place is a joke. Should be a gold mine but it's the worst place going. The drinks were hit or miss with some being actually terrible. I will never ever go back here unless it's sold and someone who knows what there doing takes over.
