While the Surfside advertises a moderate price range for dinner between $20-$40, all the dinners on the menu were @$50! We had the fluke and asparagus, which was delicious but made the mistake of ordering two glasses of wine - Pinot and chardonnay, which I did not realize cost $26 each! Bill $200 with tip for three people and my wife only had an appetizer! Outrageous prices are hard to swallow!! Nice to know how the rich people live. Please don't advertise dinner as "good value."

As a former career server,bartender...BRAVO to management for how you handled and responded to the issue with the misbehaved and unsupervised children.Its funny she acknowledged your sign by the door, but none the less her kids ran a muck. Sadly some people are so clueless, self absorbed, inconsiderate,or just plain lazy to understand the danger( for servers, the kids themselves ,other patrons, etx), disruption ,and the staff becoming thier personal babysitters etc,.You want it "expedited more quickly"? GO TO MC DONALDS ,not a higher end place that people are there for a DININGEXPERIENCE.And, most of us dining around them have already raised thier kids..We're not there to be annoyed, disrupted, nor do we think your kids are sweet cherubs from above.Poor parenting skills.and no consideration for others. I say this as my own 4 KNEW BETTER and I got compliments all the time how well behaved they were.. Now, I want to thank you ALL for the lovely anniversary dinner that you kindly seated us for as you had no available tables and we didnt have a reservation. We were gonna sit at the bar, but management was made known by a kind server that it was our anniversary, and they expeditiously set us a table before our drinks were even ready ! We hadnt been out there in about a decade, and we ate there on that trip..Servers were lovely ,charming, attentive, and funny too!,.Drinks amazing. And the food (apps, entrees, and dessert) well, that's why we chose THIS place for our special day!. Thank you so much for helping to make our anniversary weekend the HIGH NOTE of the trip ?

Best meal we had all summer anywhere in the Hamptons. From the moment we walked in the door our server, Devin, took care of us with his huge smile. The baked clams, spare ribs, and key lime pie were off the charts. Can’t wait to come back. No better restaurant or experience on the East End. We’ll be back soon.

There is a sign when entering that says children must remain seated at all times. If that is the case then the service should be expedited. Obviously getting children to remain seated is a challenge. However, our children were not bothering anyone, just the manager. After further research on reviews, we were not the only family that experienced this disgraceful managers behavior over children. Such a shame, we will not be returning nor recommending this restaurant to anyone.Responding to the managers response- It is unfortunate that the 71 year old woman is obliviously delirious that her perception is so skewed as to what actually happened. Also, unfortunate that her staff had to even apologize for her behavior. We do hope the manager has better days and no one else experiences the disrespect we did. I suppose the past similar negative reviews of families with children were also lying with their experiences?…doesn’t quite seem to be the case.

Breathtaking views, incredibly delicious food and absolutely outstanding service.The balance of skill and talent between the back/front of house creates a beautiful homeostasis, delivering palatable, fresh cuisine with impeccable service. Our waiter, Spencer, was charming, polite and personable and the waitstaff were keenly aware of our presence, never allowing our cups to be empty, serving us water with warm, "One Love" smiles and vibes!!Only 2 critiques...1.) The appetizers were small. ?2.)Drink special(s) would've turned my 2 Pineapple ? Martinis into 3 or 4!??Overall, 9 1/2 out of 10!

Food delicious Service outstandingDecor and overall ambiance is timeless, understated and just what we come to montauk looking for. A little peace and quiet. The boneless 1/2 Long Island duck was perfectly cooked. The lobster cake was excellent. We will return for more.

We have been going here for dinner for 30+ years. It’s consistent, has great views of the ocean, and the staff is professional and friendly. We’ve become big fans of the ribs surprisingly and always hold out for the fish specials.

Went in this weekend and had a great experience, our waitress Mary was funny and very friendly! But I wasn't to happy with the owner, and very gruff man, not warm and friendly at all,but what got me was when Mary was coming back to our table with some new utensils, she slipped on some sauce or something that was on the floor, needless to say she went down and the owner just stood there and looked at her as if she embarrassed him! He never once asked if she was ok or if she needed help, I was disgusted. Honestly I was so turned off I'm not sure I want to give an owner like that my hard earned money. When she got up he just walked in the other direction. I was mortified and felt so bad for her. She took it like a champ but that's no way for a man/owner to behave.Absolutely no empathy, I'm sure working for him is no easy task!
