These people know what they’re doing. When I tell you everything was amazing… I can’t even… IT WAS SO GOOD.
We got the 16 piece chicken family meal for 4 of us and a kid. They were not messin around, there was so much food. I’ve never had cornbread like theirs, it tasted almost like it could be a dessert, but not crazy sweet, like cinnamon and maple. We also got collard greens, mashed potatoes, and yellow rice as our sides. Everything was seasoned so well and the chicken was so juicy and crunchy. Imma have dreams about this food.

Everything was amazing. No exaggeration, the best soul food I’ve ever had. They deserve all the praise!! I got fried chicken, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and potato salad. The cornbread has cinnamon and is sweet. So delicious!

I ordered from DoorDash. Order was perfect. Food is delicious. I will be ordering again. I ordered baked chicken with mashed potatoes and yams. It comes with cornbread. All delicious . In the picture shown, I’ve already eaten one of the pieces of chicken. I also ordered a peach cobbler and two chicken empanadas. The peach cobbler was fine, but I wouldn’t order it again. Empanadas are for my daughter and she’s not home yet so I can’t speak for those. The baked chicken, mashed potatoes, yams and cornbread, I would order all again.

They had very little food available and it was just sitting out on the counter. I was only given two options for a meal, unaware of the price. The chicken was hot and crispy, so no complaints there. I also chose mac and cheese as the side, which the male employee looked at what was left on the counter and told me that he’d hook me up with some better stuff in the back of kitchen. He left, then a lady came out and asked me what I wanted all over again. She was clearly impatient and not listening to what I was saying about the other employee. She proceeded to scoop the mac and cheese that was laying on the counter into the container (it was cold at this point and no reasonable person would pay for that, nor would any reasonable business charge for that). Then she proceeded to ring me up at $17ish and when I brought up a discount/“work with me” as the guy had mentioned at the beginning, she was dumbfounded. What I suspect here is that the guy wanted to do the right thing by making my first experience a good one, but this lady had other plans. Maybe he has my fresh mac and cheese ready to go at this point, as the portion I got is going straight into the trash.
Please go find another place to eat. Go to the Spanish restaurant across the street…anywhere.

Classic case of two cooks in the kitchen. I wanted to like this place, but I was told one thing by one employee and then apparemtly it was overruled by another. I should’ve walked out, but felt obligated to pay as the old food was dished out already. The fried chicken was good and still hot/crispy surprisingly, no complaints there. However, the mac and cheese was cold and solidified, bottom of the barrel, even though it was supposed to be a better batch from the back of kitchen, so I was told. It’s going uneaten, especially after seeing it on the counter just sitting there. The corn was still warm, so there’s that.
I’d recommend going somewhere else that doesn’t go against their word. Great way to lose a customer.

The food is really good and priced fairly! I had the fried fish, mac and cheese and yams. The portions are large so I had leftovers for the next day. For dessert, I had the banana pudding. Who leaves banana pudding for leftovers!?! NOT ME. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD! A piece of cornbread came with my meal. The cinnamon in the corn bread was such a surprise. The cornbread was tasty too. We ate here while vacationing at the Kartrite. The cooking here was amazing!! It’s excellent home style cooking. We had 2 kids with us that also loved it. The burgers, Mac and cheese, and banana pudding were out of this world! The chicken was fantastic! If you’re in the area, it’s worth the stop!
