Just a beautiful cafe with warm welcoming staff and fantastic events.
Whenever in Morris (from RI), I make it a point to stop in at The Gatehouse - sometimes to just look (that never happens as there is always something(s) that catch my eye) or I’m in for something specific. Was in this time with my sister to pick up a really cool framed photo (by Jennifer). While there, Chris showed us “Kosterina, extra virgin body oil” and “Bella Cucina face and body cream”…OMG! This is the most adorable, picturesque coffee shop ever! The coffee is amazing, the employees are incredible, & the gifts are so unique. Go check them out ASAP!!!!

**The Gatehouse Coffee Shop & Mercantile** is a true gem in the heart of the Catskills, downtown Morris. This darling coffee shop has brought so much life into the town. Wonderfully curated with cookbooks, kitchen items, jewelry, pottery, and interesting pasta’s, there are so many crackers and spreads out to try along with oils and jams and jellies. Everything for sale is high quality. The service is excellent, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice coffee, beautiful salads, and delicious panini’s are available, plus a Turmeric latte with a shot of espresso. It is a great place for a gift, brekkie/lunch, and family/friend meet-up, as well as a daily coffee spot. There are plenty of tables and a side room which could seat many. Guests can catch some music or join in an open mic. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, making it a little slice of heaven. Highly recommend!
