Terrible experience here after years of patronage. One of our party slipped and fell walking in on their unsalted ramp. She badly injured her wrist and shoulder and the manager (Heather) was extremely rude and unhelpful. The bartender had to be asked to give ice by us and begrudgingly offered ice in a rag. She was able to miraculously produce a ziploc, but was consistently rude to us. Servers are always excellent but we now have to cut our ski trip short due to the injury. We had to insist they salt the ramp and below is video of the ramp after their salting. Completely covered in ice and totally unsafe. Heather scolded us when we complained and was so nasty. What a terrible lack of empathy and hospitality by the restaurant!

Catamount is the best! Service, food, ambiance are all wonderful. My number one choice for a night out

The food was just okay. Great service, cute place and decent drinks. Nothing to write home about, but it was okay.

My husband and I have enjoyed many dinners at the Catamount, in all seasons. Last night's dinner was lovely from start to finish. The greeter was lovely, as was our server, Meadow. The atmosphere was cosy, warm and we loved the winter/holiday decor. The food is consistently good and the dinner specials, which vary somewhat from week to week, offer nice alternates to the regular menu. We are looking forward to our next dinner at the Catamount!

They were very accommodating, great atmosphere, solid savory menu choices, and attentive service staff. Don't be in a hurray, everything seems made to order, even the deserts. We had a great meal and pleasant experience. Bravo.

The wine by glass choice was good & fairly priced. The salads were very good & could be ordered half or full size. The entrees were ok. Shirt rib($40) was a bit overcooked. There was no sauce( I.e. red wine) given with the dish . I had Mushroom Risotto($32). “white truffle oil” was written in the description. After the first 4 bites, I could not taste it anymore. I asked the server for olive oil to moisturize the risotto & give it more flavor. I believe it is a good place for lunch, but I would not go there again for dinner.

Beautiful rustic restaurant in the Catskills. Cocktails were potent, nice selection of food and high quality. Service was excellent.

If you order a dish with scallops, ask for them to be well-seared or you will receive milky white scallops with minimal browning at the edges. The special pasta was good, but boxed penne does not have that elevated feel.. the herbed cream sauce was VERY watery... literally every bite was dripping/very viscous. I would expect fresh, house made pasta and at least a fine roux added to the sauce for the price charged on the special pasta. In general, this was a mid-tier dining experience despite the upscale look of the restaurant. Staff accommodated my request for a 1/2 portion of risotto, which we appreciated. The mushrooms were abundant and deliciously complemented the risotto, but I questioned if it was microwaved or heated on the stove (it was scalding hot with steam in the center, like when it's reheated/nuked). The breading was also not sticking to my husband's chicken cutlet... would rate the food a 6.7/10

Food and service always good Wish they were open on Wednesday and Thursday breakfast Many people who are traveling and not staying there look forward to a lunch/breakfast there instead of going down to that dinner

Unbelievable delicious food. Gourmet! Specialties last night were so good that we could taste the aroma all the way home.

Nice vibe of a Adirondack style lodge. Super friendly staff working hard to try to meet any needs that we had (for which we appreciated). The food itself was edible but had a lot of points where it fell flat. The sweet and sour tofu was a flop. The grilled trout was excellent but the ubiquitous saffron rice on most dishes was tasteless. The cheese plate was underwhelming and needed fancier presentation, higher quality crackes, and more than just three white cheeses.

Great food, large portions and outstanding service. We had an outside table with a view of the river. Nice nature sounds. Highly recommend.
