They give you a lot of food/ meat for your money. Not a lot on the menu, the food is not that bad tasting. Other Caribbean restaurants the food taste better, but they load your food with side order and give you less meat.

The chicken soup was good, not salty, but Curry Goat entirely salt, and the rice and peas were muddy. They need to check them salt cause it stay like sea wata.

This is a spot i frequent when i am hungry and don't want to spend an arm and a leg the food is pretty good even though i usually jus get the rice and peas with jerk chicken. This spot has been in Mt. Vernon for quite some time so when in the area stop in and give it a try.

Now for the food...The chicken soup is the best you will ever have in your life! But you'd better order before 1:30 pm because it's usually sold out! The lunch line is practically out the door every day and with good reason. The jerk chicken is mouth watering and their rice and peas is so good you can eat it alone! The curry chicken, stew chicken and curry goat are juicy and savory. You cannot go wrong here and the prices are very reasonable. You can go to the "bigger beautiful" restaurants and think you're doing "better" but nothing beats the consistent quality of food and customer service you get at Kingston Express.

The jerk chicken and chicken soup are the best EVER! Winston's oxtail is delicious too and every office party of ours has to have him cater! This is a great little cafe in Mount Vernon - in the same location as Chicken Hut. You cannot go wrong here with the delicious meals here.
