“I got it delivered and was so happy grubhub would deliver to me. The Sicilian Pizza is the best i have had. We added sausage and meatballs to make it a meal. The tortellini soup and eggplant rollatini were both outstanding. The delivery was fast and everything arrived hot and tasty.“

Tonight was my first time dining in as I usually order to go, and the atmosphere in the dining room is comfortable/laid back with background music but not too loud that you cannot talk with the person you’re eating with. The service from our waitress was phenomenal as she was so sweet and attentive. We came on a week night with less staff there so the service was slightly slow at times but the food came out quick & hot!“

“I get so excited every time we get a chance to visit Oracabessa. This is my favorite go to spot for delicious, authentic, home style Jamaican food, that always hits the spot. Regardless the time of day, Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, they gotcha! The food tastes like someone has poured love and magic into every bite and the portion sizes are Nice! While I have my faves, I totally recommend you try everything and see for yourself.

“I’ve lived in Mount Vernon for all my life and have found this place to be one of the best. The only thing I wish they still did was delivery. The food is always good. The service has always been accommodating when they did delivery. And even when I barely had the money to pay for food they still provided service. For me this restaurant has a special place in my heart.“

“I finally came here after years of hearing about this place and trying many different options from places in New Rochelle all the way to Nyack. Although the atmosphere is minimal the food is delicious and plentiful. I felt as if I was picking up plates of soul food from my church ladies with the gospel music playing which I did not mind.

I ordered three dinners we tried the fried chicken, collards, yams and one order of mac and cheese that was a mistake we should have gotten more and order of peach cobbler. As my daughter described it she felt like eating this food was like getting a hug from a grandma! None of the food is overly seasoned which my husband and I prefer but seems to be the common mistake a lot of soul food locations are making.

There is a detour near the location which makes parking a little bit of a challenge however, that will not stop me from returning.“

“Listen I can’t speak for nobody else, I read every review and I hesitated ordering on Uber. But baby I ordered the wrong thing! I meant to order boneless spare ribs and got giant ribs instead GROSS! However I did take a bite and it was good af! But I still didn’t eat them so I ate so-so rice! But the pork fried rice with the egg and cheese wontons were out of this world! Mi god! I almost went to heaven eating the wontons they were the best IVE EVER HAD! Every where gets cheese wontons wrong but no they were right! I can’t wait to try the boneless spareribs next time! The iced tea was cute nothing special. I did drink it all.“

“There is no atmosphere to rate, the service is hit or miss. They can have a bit of an attitude. Normally the oxtail are out of this world good, but lately they have been a bit off. The last plate I got they were so fatty that I barely got any bites of just the meat. Meh.“
