A hidden gem in the old part of Nanuet township. The food is of high quality while the price is low, and they give you plenty of free bites too, e.g. a generous serving of tortilla chips and salsa is presented on the table as soon as you sit down. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the environment was perfect. I had Quesobirria tacos & tostadas, and they were great. My wife had the steak and enchiladas, she loved them. Here lies the problem, I have lived in Nanuet for over 12 years and have never stopped here till today, never really realized this place was here till today. Absolutely top-notch authentic Mexican food. Outdoor seating when the weather permits. I am blown away by one of their ceviches called “Vuelve a la Vida”. I order it every time.Be sure to order a dish that comes with rice and refried beans. Their refried beans are to die for! This is a 6 star review, but Google only allows me to put 5 stars. The food is consistently delicious and I always have a great experience at Gardenia’s.
