Amazing sushi and friendly staff.
I’ve been to Sakana with my family for a number of years now and always enjoyed the great service and delicious food. The rolls are amazing, the TNT roll is my favorite and the sushi is always fresh! Jimmy and his staff are so polite and commendable, it’s always a pleasure to return and enjoy the awesome food. I highly recommend Sakana!!!!

Sakana is easily one of the best Japanese restaurants in the area, and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. The moment you walk in, the atmosphere hits you first — dim lighting, glowing lanterns, and that huge fish tank that gives the whole place a calm, relaxing vibe. It feels like stepping into a little escape from the busyness outside, and it always sets the mood for a great meal.
The sushi here is incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Whether it’s the classic rolls or the creative special rolls, everything tastes like it was made with real care. The fish is tender, the rice is perfectly seasoned, and the sauces are balanced — never too heavy, never too salty. Even simple dishes stand out. You can tell the chefs take pride in what they do.
The service is always friendly and fast. The staff checks in often, keeps drinks refilled, and is quick to recommend something new if you’re stuck choosing. It makes the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable.
Overall, Sakana is a spot that never disappoints — fresh food, great atmosphere, and consistent service every single time. Definitely a must-try if you’re anywhere near the area.

Sakana is consistently the best Japanese restaurant in the area. It has a comfortable, attractive ambiance, the food is fresh and deliciously prepared, and the staff are so nice. They also have a bustling take-out business, if you'd rather eat at home.
Terrible service and rude staff!
Went to Sakana hoping for a good meal, but the experience was ruined by the waiter’s attitude. From the start, he was cold and dismissive. We waited nearly 20 minutes before he took our order, and when he finally did, he acted like we were wasting his time eye rolls, sighs, the whole deal. He never checked on us once during the meal, and even getting the bill was a struggle.
The food was just okay, not nearly good enough to make up for the awful service. With so many better options around, I won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Checked out this place because we were looking for a new Japanese restaurant and the reviews seemed okay. However, the experience was disappointing.
The food was flavorless, cold and overpriced. I ordered the scallop teriyaki and the scallops were mushy, cold and bland, as if they reheated it in a microwave and added sauce. The dish had a small portion (half cup) of cold rice and cold noodles with a dab of sauce on it. The meal looked and tasted disgusting, so I didn’t eat it.
My child ordered a chicken lo mein dish which she also didn’t eat the chicken because it didn’t look or taste like chicken. The noodles were cold but she ate half of the noodles. She ordered a bubble tea and she said it was gross so she didn’t drink it, because she said it tasted like rubber.
Overall the food had a fishy taste to it (even the chicken and mushroom soup), which made it even more disturbing.
Spent $70 for 2 people on meals that we didn’t eat. They should have refunded at least the bubble tea or the scallop teriyaki when they saw we didn’t eat/drink it. Wish I didn’t waste my money. We had to go to a different restaurant to eat. Will not be going back.

Fish tasted very fresh, waiter/host was very friendly and gave great recommendations, and the bathroom was clean! Prices are average for non-AYCE sushi.
We enjoyed the Bounty Hunter and Fantastic Rolls the best. One of them came with a really good sauce, almost like an eel sauce/spicy mayo mixed.

My boyfriend and I go here often, to the point where they kind of already know what we will order. They're always super friendly and the food is very tasty. I enjoy the teriyaki options but my boyfriend loves the shrimp tempura rolls. And you can't miss their Banana tempura or fried icecream!!! I would recommend trying it out for a date night!
