I love the fact that they're open for breakfast and lunch for the days I need to get a late breakfast or early lunch and lunch places aren't open until after 11. I always get their traditional gyro, but I recently tried their butternut squash soup and loved it. I'm definitely going to have to get more of it the next time I go just to take home. Not much of an "atmosphere" but to be fair a lot of places with a lot of take out don't have much atmosphere,...
This is an incredible family run business. Consistency is key. I literally love this place. I also think it is worth mentioning, OPA doesn't only serve Mediterranean food. BEST GYRO, ETC.... but also makes incredible breakfast sandwiches, heroes, salads, seafood platters, etc. The only go to in all of Rockland.
I've been here twice in three weeks. Both times had the Gyro Deluxe - Gyro with Greek Fries and Greek salad. All the food was fresh, made to order and the portions were large. An excellent value. The Greek salad even had a stuffed grape leaf of top. The people at the counter and cooking are friendly and welcoming. Great, family-owned place.
