We just went tonight with some friends , cute lil spot , nice vibe , started with some really good drinks and wine !! The star of the show was def the FOOD , the chef did his thing !! Perfectly cooked churrasco with tostones and and an amazing house salad , wife had the shrimp mofongo that had this amazing crunchy / soft texture so GOOD! We drove from Westchester and it was well worth the drive. Not only will we be back but will recommend to our friends 🇵🇷👍🏼🇵🇷

Salon Pilon has the best food in New City! They are attentive, the atmosphere is beautiful and they have great music. This is my go to every time I have family or friends over. They love it as well!

If you're Puerto Rican or even if you're not Puerto Rican and you live close enough... stop what your doing and go here. The vibe is amazing. They offer salsa dancing lessons and a DJ. Their food is the most authentic off the island. We had the mofongo. It was soft with some crispy parts and the garlic??!!! Wow! We also had the pernil. Now, pernil (roast pork) is my signature dish. Many places make it dry and oily. Not here! It's tender and tasty. Come.out to Sazon Y Pilon for amazing atmosphere at an insta worthy vibe.

Sunday Labor Day weekend we decided to go try the place out. We were excited because we like well flavored food. We ordered the fish and grilled cauliflower. A few minutes later… we are sorry there is no fish. I ordered the octopus but strange it came with no sides. I added a side dish. A few minutes later … Sorry no cauliflower. Ordered the vegan burger but out of that as well. Ordered guacamole and chips but they were out of that too. Ended up with a cheese quesadilla for my wife. The octopus came and it was beautifully plated but it was a very large piece filled with sauce but no rice or no bread to soak it up. It was very tasty indeed. Disappointed about all the items that were not available. We even heard them tell a customer that a dessert that was on the menu they have never had. They need to maybe change the menu or get it together. It’s too bad because we would’ve been frequent customers.

Was in the mood for a midweek date night, so my wife and I went and sat in the restaurant. I had picked up the Pernil on top of Mofongo before and it was spectacular but when I did, the owner told me you need to come eat it here it’s even better. She wasn’t lying, while I didn’t have the Mofongo this time I had the Pernil again and we had a couple of amazing appetizers, guacamole, and ceviche. My wife said her salmon was perfectly cooked. And they could not be any more welcoming, it’s like you’re having dinner in the owners kitchen. Highly recommend and this is my go to spot for Spanish foodfood now. I’m not a huge drinker, but I also hear the drinks are amazing. I almost forgot to mention on the recommendation of our waitress We had the Tres leches cake. Oh my gosh, it was amazing.
