My favorite bakery in New Hyde Park. The girls at the counter are always very nice. Some of my favorites include their blackout cake, fruit tarts, and black and white cookies. They also have some good Napoleon and chocolate PB tarts. Very good variety at decent prices.
My husband and I celebrated our 30 wedding anniversary on May 28, 2022. We wanted to have our cake done by a bakery in the area. Out of all we came across this little gem of a bakery called Gourmet Bakery. The owner and staff were very accommodating. After speaking with him we decided to order our 2 tier cake. Joe baked a beautiful cake for my boss’ retirement party. It was absolutely delicious and all my coworkers loved it. They all asked for the name of the bakery. When I looked around at peoples plates there was not even a crumb left on it! I will definitely use Gourmet Bake Shop again in the future for parties.
