Ha Long Bay - Vietnamese Sandwiches is a hidden gem that offers authentic and affordable Vietnamese cuisine. Despite its modest appearance, the restaurant serves dishes with love and authenticity, including the popular spicy pork shoulder noodle and pork chop rice. The Pho, a Vietnamese noodle soup, is a standout, and the iced coffee is a potent and refreshing accompaniment.
The restaurant has received positive reviews from customers, who praise the authentic Bun Bo Hue (a spicy beef noodle soup) and the delicious Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwiches), particularly the pork chop variety. Customers also appreciate the friendly staff and quick service, making it a great spot to enjoy a taste of Vietnamese cuisine on Long Island.
The menu features a range of traditional Vietnamese dishes, catering to diverse tastes. Customers have enjoyed the beef rib Pho, which is both delicious and reasonably priced, as well as the pork chop over rice and mango yogurt drink. While the pork chop was a bit dry, the overall experience has been positive, with the restaurant providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere for diners.
