Gadaleto's Seafood Market & Eatery

I am enjoying my last lobster roll sandwich from Gadaleto’s. We’ve been purchasing lobster roll from here for many years, usually as a Mother’s Day treat. I must say it is always delicious and full of lobster meat. Unfortunately, on today’s visit, even though I wanted a larger amount, I was only able to get the very small deli containers, so I got 4 to make sure I had enough. I specifically asked for one larger container but was told that they only sell it in the very small deli containers. I now know why. They do not tare out the container weight. So, in addition to the delicious lobster roll, I also paid $56 a pound for 4 small deli containers. I am not sure how much that amounts to but I feel this is a deceitful practice and won’t go back. I must say I called thinking they made a mistake and the gentleman I spoke to offered to give me a credit but stood behind that practice stating its worked into the price and that the lobster is expensive. I refused the credit as I don’t want special treatment and I did not ask that question while I was there - shame on me. I just never thought any business does that. I don’t mind paying a higher price per pound for the actual lobster but can’t pay that for the containers. They have a great business so mine won’t make a difference, but I thought patrons should know.

Do you want fresh fish and seafood sold by fisherman and seafood experts? Look no further if your in or near New Paltz. Great service. Fair market prices. And the chef I know who has cooked much of what they sell, has guests giving high-praise to the quality every time.

Young girl that deals with the register/take out area has a disgusting attitude, also watched her play with someone’s food . Be careful and this is s food cmon I would’ve thought they were better than that.

Been going to Gadaletos like 30yrs. The best fresh seafood professionals around. Big shrimp, real tender scallops, salmon, tuna, bronzino etc its all great! Good people.

So I go in here to get the fish tacos sometimes I will order blackened salmon that last few times I’ve come in to eat hasn’t been good at all , I do not know what’s going on with the chef but the really need to fix it o because the prices are up there the service and food should also be up there

Had the best shrimp basket here!! The batter was lite and crunchy,the tarter was delicious!! Fried to perfection!! Casual dining, highly recommended
