The workers are extremely friendly and the food is affordable and delicious! The triple threat is excellent, as is the coffee.

Two pieces of bacon in a $5.99 bacon egg and cheese. Very stingy. Would only pay $3.75 for this in any other instance. Put literally one more piece to make it make sense.

Stopped in for a quick sandwich on the way home from Minnewaska. Service was fast. Workers were courteous. Sandwich was very good and reasonably priced! Will definitely come again if I’m in the area.

The Pickled Pig Deli in New Paltz is the epitome of a downgrade. Gone are the days of homemade focaccia, olive tapenade, and calzones that could make your nonna weep with joy. Instead? Brace yourself: the “menu” now reads like a sad convenience store deli counter—bologna, roast beef, and ham, all presented as if they’re some groundbreaking culinary masterpieces. And don’t even get me started on their so-called “specialty” sandwiches—basically breaded chicken thrown into every tired variation possible. Truly inspiring (eye roll).

It’s like the new owners looked at a thriving, beloved spot and thought, “You know what? Let’s just gut everything good and replace it with mediocrity.” Rather than evolving what made the original place so iconic, they decided to strip it of its charm and identity. The warmth, the flavor, the soul? Gone. Instead, we’re left with a husk of what used to be—just another soulless deli with zero passion. Heartbreaking doesn’t even begin to cover it.

2 subs, 1 soda, 1 monster, shared bag of chips. - $44+
Captive customers (college), or greed?
They were NOT $14 sandwiches. Too much for locals. I tried them once, never again.

Where Russo’s walked, The Pickled Pig runs free. The food was great, the employees care about your experience, and the atmosphere’s clean and comfortable. Definitely worth a visit for any deli enthusiast!

A New Paltz classic spot just got better. We ordered two 3ft subs for a kids birthday party & I should've ordered more because it was delicious! The guys are awesome & the food is great - what more can you ask for? Everyone at the party was asking where I got the food from and raving about how good it was - so thank you!!

Good food and good people. This spot used to be the beloved Russo's Deli, and I'm happy to see the Pickled Pig has built off the foundation of what worked for Russo's while putting their own spin on things with an expanded menu. The cannoli cookie sandwich has become a new favorite of mine. Special shoutout to Leroy in the back serving up the classics with a smile. I look forward to trying more of their new specials.
