best challah I've had in years. pick up a loaf or two for my family every friday.
Great sandwich, delicious and well made. Good coffee. Bought a round loaf of dark break, delicious as well.
Vegetarian options: Those behind the counter, fast and friendly.

I want to start by saying I love the Bakery! I’ve been a loyal customer for 3 years now. However, I have grown increasingly frustrated with the system that is in place for ordering. It takes way longer than I think it should and it looks like more work for the employees to do it in the way that they do (which as it’s been described to me is that one employee takes a person/groups entire order, drinks included, and makes it all). I also work at a cafe and I know how stressful rushes can get - I’m not trying to be a Karen I just would love to have a more pleasant time ordering at one of my favorite places in New Paltz. You’ve already unfortunately lost my business many times.

The food at this bakery might be good, but the customer experience left a lot to be desired. I waited over 40 minutes just to buy a pie that was already sitting in the refrigerator, ready to go. When I asked if I could simply pay for it, I was told I had to wait in line behind over 12 people ordering breakfast and coffee, which needed to be prepared first. While the staff seemed overwhelmed and could have used more help, the lack of a system to handle quick purchases was frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend this bakery, as the negative overall experience far overshadowed any potential enjoyment of the food.

The food is good, but the staff makes it so unwelcoming to enter and order. They’re extremely slow always making me late to wherever I need to go. The point of a take out bakery is the quick and effective process of getting food, not standing there for 15 minutes before someone even notices you. The workers lack the ability to multi task or greet customers. Horrible the way I was treated and disregarded, this place needs to focus more on kindness and an appropriate work ethic NOT decorating, walking around ignoring customers and talking with their coworkers/friends.

I have come to the Bakery since I was in grade school and it was always a great experience. I love all of the gluten free options and how close it is to my place of work. However in the last couple of years the staff is completely incompetent. They are too busy socializing behind the counter to take the order correctly. There are times there is even a line out the door and they’re standing around talking. I can’t even count how many times I’ve walked away and the order is wrong. Anytime I call to get it corrected there is an attitude. This is really sad because the bakery is a New Paltz staple.

Cute spot, they seem to know their bagels. I wish I did get a bagel, but instead I got the house roast and it was on par with gas station blends and a very very dubious veggie burrito with anemic vegetables.

Great staff, good spot, but the veggie burrito was dubious at best and the drip coffee tasted very ashey.

Come here if you like to wait in line for a long time, get sass from the workers, and want a mediocre latte. A disorganized and stressful environment. If I wanted to listen to chit chat and singing behind the counter, I'd go down to the student union to do so. The bathroom was clean and accessible, though.

Wanted to get dessert for a dinner at a friend's house. Got a "chocolate hazelnut buttercream cake" for $33. It tasted like it was a store bought cake mix slathered with ready whip. No one liked it...not even the 3 year old who ran around in excitement when she found out there was cake for dessert. She didn't even finish her piece! I wouldn't have cared if it was a $15 grocery store cake but this was nowhere near expectations for the price. Really disappointed!
