Stopped in for lunch after walking around town. A man sitting at counter in the back greeted us, took our order and served us. I had falafel plate. They were like rocks. Over fried super crunchy but taste was good. The Egyptian pita served with it is so light fluffy and delicious. My lunch partner had beef Shawarma on rice. It didn't look very appealing to me. A bit dull and dry as if reheated. He said it was ok with the tahini sauce. I observed my surroundings and was a bit turned off by the dirty floor and the dirty table next to us. Then the guy from the counter cleared and cleaned a table from a group who had just finished up. He took the bread plates from the table connected to ours which was set for 2 more. We didn't use them but they were at basically at our table! I know I would have preferred a fresh clean plate.

We love Zaytune. Best pita ever and every dish has been consistently wonderful, every time we visit! I do wish the place was bigger with better decor but the food and service make up for it.

The food here is really good. The lentil soup is one the best I ever had. The lamp gyro also is a nice surprise. The meat is tender and flavorful. They definitely deserve a good review!

I went to Zaytune with a few friends of mine at 5:00 on a Friday evening. I ordered a shawarma wrap, side salad and baklava for myself, and my table split a hummus, baba ganoush, and moussaka dip trio. The food itself wasn’t bad, it was only okay. However, nothing that I ordered was true to the dish I was expecting. The shawarma wrap was just marinated grilled chicken and tough beef, the moussaka was nothing like how it should be, and they gave me overly sweet, otherwise tasteless HOT BAKLAVA.As far as the service, our waiter was completely absent in an otherwise empty restaurant, to the point where he asked us from across the room to get our own bottle of tap water and we had to wave him down to get the check. He had a pair of headphones on the whole time, and seemed mentally checked out the entire experience. On top of that, I paid $30 for a tiny wrap, side salad (came free with the wrap in place of fries) my hot baklava, and 1/3 of the appetizer. At other restaurants in the same town, like La Charla, I am able to get an appetizer, entree, dessert, and drink for around half the price I paid here, with more generous portions than what I experienced at Zaytune.Save your money, go somewhere else.

I've been to the Middle East, I've eaten some of the best Shawarma in the world. This was by far the worst I've ever had. Not to mention, it ISN'T EVEN SHAWARMA. It was only marinated pieces of chicken. If it isn't spinning, it isn't shawarma. Don't call it such. It was also small and expensive. I get so much better at home. The moussaka wasn't even moussaka either, it was some oily tomatoey mess with some eggplant, Not the well-caramelized, rich, baked dish it ought to be. Maybe google a photo if that helps. The za'atar fries were fine, it wasn't fresh za'atar but it hit the spot. The baba ganoush was actually good but I almost cracked a tooth on the hidden unpitted calamata olive in there. The most disappointing part was the dessert. The kunafa wasn't what I expected, which was the cheese dessert. The dessert I got was a kataifi roll which isn't the same thing at all.It was served hot (not supposed to be), drowned in honey and had WAY too much cinnamon. The flavor was overpowering and the pastry wasn't crispy. You're not doing anybody any favors by serving "made to order" kataifi rolls if that was your intent. It was hard and didn't blend well together. Honey also isn't really used either for that dish.Service was poor, got ignored quite a bit. We got our food quite quickly so at least we got that over with.Never coming back, I don't suggest you go either.

The mango lassi was fabulous! One of the best I've had. The food came quickly, was very fresh and the entrees were a nice size. The restaurant was very clean and quiet. We had a gyro, falafels and grilled shrimp. The food was very tasty, perfectly seasoned. We will definitely come back!

Best Mediterranean food around! We had the beef shawarma wrap & platter. The meat was cooked very tender and the bread was the best I’ve ever had! Whenever we are around we will make sure we stop by.Thank you Mo and the crew!

Clean, bright, and tastefully decorated with Egyptian motif, we picked up some takeout to go back to our hotel room. It was prepared very fast. The dinner sampler we chose was good, nothing extraordinary however. Portions were on the smaller size; the falafel was very dry which would have been okay if there had been enough tzatziki sauce.Vegetarian options: Falafel, hummus, tzatziki

We ordered the mixed appetizer to share, the Zaytune signature, mixed shawarma platter, beef shawarma wrap. The mixed appetizer is very enjoyable. All the entrees are great but the meats of the signature fish is the best!

I like your food but if you DON'T answer the phone and rely on Uber eats templates to get customer orders correct your dead wrong and LOSING customers. Not good

This is an Egyptian restaurant that serves some Mediterranean plates, but it should let people know that it has an Egyptian or African cuisine. Now, with that said, the food was amazing and Moe was an excellent 5 star server. He was super polite and helpful when we were ordering. These people have a beautiful culture and it’s always such a treat to interact with them. Hospitality is part of their culture and they never disappoint. The Hummus and the pita was super delicious. I had the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich, with a salad and it was super delicious. My family ordered different plates and they were very pleased. I will definitely come back to this place.Vegetarian options: This restaurant is technically middle eastern so vegetarian or vegan options are available.Parking: Free parking is available after 6 PM. Depending on how busy downtown is, you should be ok with finding parking.Kid-friendliness: If you bring well behaved kids, then they are always welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: It has plenty of space inside for a wheelchair to fit inside.

Very slow service today: not the server, she was good, but the kitchen was so slow.. My dish was good, the lamb&beef on rice. Veggies could have been more cooked. My wife's falafel sandwich was a disappointment, as it was overdone on the crust and cold inside. We asked for Moroccan tea--"we're out of it. We want to l8ke this place so we will be back, but we hope it will be a little better next time.

Pretty good falafel platter! Everything was soooo fresh. I have a high falafel bar, so these were okay, but I prefer crumbly texture inside vs mushy. These were mushy inside... that being said the outside had a great great crisp. They could also use more herbs in the batter... I'm clearly nitpicking here. Anywho, come here, you'll have a solid meal
