So much Fun! The Bartenders are great. I wouldn’t recommend the empanadas though.

It's a great bar with generally strong drinks and a good consistent nice vibe. Definitely a comfort place for me.

Do not go here! The staff was horrible. In particular, the bouncers were belligerently drunk, slamming doors, and cursing and screaming at patrons. One of the bouncers asked my female friend to show her breasts as a price for admission. To boot, the bar inside was cheap and dirty.

One of my favorite bars on earth! Never changes, you can smell the history, incredible location, great regulars and super awesome bartenders. If You also like this place You may enjoy watching the opening scene of the Netflix film “Someone Great” which begins with an epic uncut shot that goes from across the street and right into 169 Bar . It’s the best shot in what is an entertaining film.

Packed to the brim with bozos on a Monday night. The bar had no beers on tap. Thankfully you can spend $5-6 on a can of beer worth 50-75 cents. If you’re looking to have a conversation with the friend on the seat next to you, you might need to invest in a megaphone and or a second set of lungs. This bar used to be the dive you’d go to in the area to get away from the New York pretenders. Now it’s so full of them that you’d even be better off going to Clandestino 100 yards away. The bartender was efficient if not friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: You have to go down two steps, and it’s crowded to the max.

Final straw not returning. Overpriced poorly made cocktails proportions are wack too much liquor or barely any at all. If you say anything about it you’re harassed. The service is what kills it rude does not cut it more like cocky and disturbing. Attentive to their huddled up homies they audibly hook up though. Prior review is funny cause they clearly on one sniff. Pretty surroundings but vibes are way off

The bouncer and bartender were insanely rude. They kicked out group our because two girls in our party went into the bathroom together... because girl code. No warning. Just forced our whole party to leave. Never coming back here.

B grade at door. Won't accept card and tons of overpriced drinks. Smelly trashy environment but all that's ok. What I'm giving the 1 star for is the rude staff. I kind've found it endearing but on second thought naaaah. Brunette staff girl got all fussy when I said I wanted a Genmy light when I really meant cream, kinda made a fuss about it but what actually got me was the part where I tipped, accidently put the dollar in a place she couldn't see, then when I tried to put it in a better spot she grabbed it and talked cra--p about me instead of just saying thanks. That's something I never experienced before and thought it was pretty low.

Best dive bar in NYC. I've been coming here for years. You can't beat the price of the drinks. My only complaint is that as word got out, it's definitely more crowded.

Delete some of the photos you have. Pricing is way off and there is no food. I get covid happened but that doesn't mean you get to be lazy managing your profile. Would be 2 stars but the place is cool enough.

Went with a couple of friends for happy hour and got some beers. Bartender made some comments about our younger ages but that is understandable. Didn't seem like he wanted to serve us when I asked menu questions. After the first round he would not serve us because not everyone in our party tipped. It's a beer, that's not something that needs a tip. Refused to serve us after that. Even called us out- not professional at all. An attitude adjustment would probably lead to a better tip. Place was nice though- a bit divey. I'd come back if it wasn't the same bartender. Good happy hour for sure. So not all bad!

Not particularity dive prices, but definitely dive atmosphere and decorations, unfortunately this goes for the odd/very forward and uncomfortable service as well. Interesting to see recent reviews and this has been brought up a bunch! Fine for a casual hang, get interesting and cute pics for a short amount of earlier in the night for the neighborhood where you can pop into somewhere better fast. There is a minimum for a credit card, but high drink/shot prices make this easy to hit I guess. I stuck to the canned beer options, which were pretty decent. Seems like more of a regulars kind of place.
