About 169 Bar

169 Bar is a historic spot with a unique atmosphere, located in an incredible setting. The bar has a loyal following and friendly bartenders, including Amanda and Tati, who provide excellent customer service. It is a cozy and welcoming place, perfect for sharing with friends, especially on a Friday night when the vibe is lively and chill. The drinks are great and offered at very good prices, making it an affordable choice for a relaxed night out. While the bar can get crowded quickly, it remains a beloved dive bar in NYC. Many visitors enjoy the friendly staff, the fun vibe, and the large tables that accommodate big groups. The bar has a decent selection of beer, mostly in cans, and some outside seating ideal for people watching on weekends. The atmosphere and friendly staff make up for the limited drink options. The bar is easy to walk to from attractions like the Brooklyn Bridge and Chinatown area. Wheelchair accessibility is a challenge due to two steps leading down to the bar, but its overall charm keeps visitors coming back. Many enjoy the snack food available and the pool table adds to the fun. Despite its popularity, 169 Bar continues to be a favorite for both locals and visitors, maintaining its reputation as a true gem in the city.

My favorite bar in all of NYC. The staff is great, the vibes fantastic (it gives very Pirate Captain's Cabin in the BEST way). $10 beer/ shot combo will get you lit and the popcorn and dumplings will help with that. A must when in NYC!!!!

The old-school dive bar charm with comfortable stools and a lively but relaxed vibe makes it perfect for casual drinks. Tried the cheap beers on tap, and the wings were crispy and tasty. Service was quick and friendly. It got busier later but was still enjoyable. About $20 per person. Reliable classic spot in the area.

Awesome little place, very friendly, very cool atmosphere, not overpriced
