Packed to the brim with bozos on a Monday night. The bar had no beers on tap. Thankfully you can spend $5-6 on a can of beer worth 50-75 cents.If you’re looking to have a conversation with the friend on the seat next to you, you might need to invest in a megaphone and or a second set of lungs.This bar used to be the dive you’d go to in the area to get away from the New York pretenders. Best dive bar in NYC. I've been coming here for years. You can't beat the price of the drinks. My only complaint is that as word got out, it's definitely more crowded.

One of my favorite bars on earth! Never changes, you can smell the history, incredible location, great regulars and super awesome bartenders. If You also like this place You may enjoy watching the opening scene of the Netflix film “Someone Great” which begins with an epic uncut shot that goes from across the street and right into 169 Bar . It’s the best shot in what is an entertaining film.
