Stunning food and warm friendly service
We had a reservation at La Pulperia 44 HK, but mistakenly gone to 44&X. So we stayed. We were seated outside right away, while waiting for one guest to arrive. The hostess was sweet. As for the food-appetizers were good. The chicken buttermilk was good except for the soggy waffles. One cocktail drink was returned due to an unusual taste, and after that, the waiter never came back. Drinks-$21 was over priced and watered down. The restaurant had a beautiful outdoor setting, perfect for a balmy New York summer evening. The food and vibe are always wonderful, and the waiter was excellent—attentive, friendly, and helpful. The food was outstanding, with a perfectly cooked salmon, starters of goat's cheese and a Caesar salad, and exceptional desserts. The only negative was the bread at the start which was somewhat stale. Overall, a truly wonderful dining experience.
