Amazing dim sum brunch - I was so impressed by the quality and taste. Loved the eel club and cod clay pot rice. Need to come back to try their dinner.

Kate the bartender was fantastic. Food was great, vibes were great. The steak carpaccio and black cod clay pot were exceptionally good. Razor clams - I’d skip. They were still a bit gritty.

Came here to celebrate a special night with my partner. We decided to try something new for a change instead of sticking to our go to restaurants. I’m honestly confused on what type of cuisine this restaurant is serving. The menu itself sounds appealing when you look over it but when the food came out I truly did not understand what spin they’re trying to play. I read some reviews that state this is amazing Chinese food but I’ve had better Chinese food from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn for way less than half the price here? The beef carpaccio was alright but whatever sauce they used was not my cup of tea and I don’t think I’ve ever disliked beef carpaccio from anywhere. The beef tenderloin had a very strange texture and the sauce/coating was very strong in seasoning almost some sort of curry but not sure. The tiger prawns were probably the worst part as 2 prawns come out in a steaming bowl of broth that has such a strong curry scent it’s really not appealing or something I expected.Overall, the food is pretty bad and considering the price tag I’m shocked they charge that much. The service is odd but wasn’t terrible, we had about 3-4 different people switch out as our waiters through out our entire dinner and we were there for about an hour and a half. The only thing this place really has going for it is the atmosphere which is pretty unique. If you’re a tourist, maybe you’d enjoy this place since it’s near hotels. If you’re a local/NY native, I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time or money.

53 is a Beautiful Restaurant located right next to the Museum of Modern Art. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try if your looking for an amazing asian fusion dinning experience. The restaurant is so beautiful with two very nice wide open bars. Highly recommend the Samon Carpaccio and the Dumplings! Only complaint is the menu is very small.Kid-friendliness: Im sure it wouldn't be a prpblem but definitely a high class atmosphereWheelchair accessibility: They do have an elevator but it was out of service when I went

Outstanding modern Asian restaurant. Everything is excellent on it. The ambiance, the food, the presentation of the dishes and the service. The seafood, the baos, the ribs, all the ones we tried were excellent.

My husband and I had a wonderful meal here! So thrilled to see traditional Chinese dishes elevated in unique ways, and the drink menu was superb (cocktails were inventive and wine by the glass list was terrific).

Amazing food and service but the ladies at the check in counter are extremely rude and slow. My group and I walked up with a reservation and she took 20 minutes to analyze the iPad seating chart before sending us to get seated.

5 stars dining experience in NYC! I was here to celebrate my friend’s birthday and we were so happy that we’ve chosen 53 for our special day. The food and drink was amazing I love every single dish on the table and if you ask which one is my favorite I would say all of them, I can’t pick one! On the top of that the service was phenomenal, we definitely enjoyed and will be back again. Thumbs up!

Fun place to dine. It might not be the most authentic Chinese food, but it is still very good. A bit pricey, but given the atmosphere it is not too bad.

Overall rating: 4.49I already know I’m not the target audience, but rating based on the taste vs the price. I was NOT expecting this to be an Asian fusion place. Good try but stress on fusion vs Asian.- Norwegian King Crab: 6/5 only 3 pieces but very delightful- Royal eh not worth it- Duck Pie very good- Bok good- tiger prawn clay eh- kung pao do not get. They smother the quail in sauce and it gets lostI have a higher tolerance for Asian food because I’m Asian. I thought the food was okay but not for the price. Again, I’m not the target audience. If you don’t eat Asian food often & you’re likely a tourist staying at a nearby hotel.. you may like this! But if you’re a local, I’d choose otherwise.
