A Taste of Seafood

Came here to support black owned business and was extremely disappointed. I paid $40 for fried shrimp catfish with a side of rice n peas, Mac n cheese, potato salad and collards. Greens were bland, mac and cheese was watery with a nasty cheese sauce. Catfish and shrimp had no seasoning. Potato salad had too much mustard. I wasted my money because i couldnt force myself to finish it. Im extremely disappointed to say the least. Also confused because I see old pics, like of the mac and cheese and it seems theh changed the recipe. Why?
The owners and workers were nice, but the food was not.

This was the biggest waste of $27.16.
I ordered the fried whiting and shrimp and was heavily disappointed. Whatever batter they coat the food in is completely bland and tasteless. And whhhhhyyyyy do they pack fried food in plastic container? It took me 5 mins to get home and the damn fish was soggy because of the steam. You’re better off going to Famous or Make My Fish.

I was very excited and I anticipated trying the food here. The fried fish was good and the mac was ok, but the yams needed something more. The rice was better than the yams. Overall, my first experience was good, but not sure I would return.

Food was terrible. The fact that they use cornmeal as their batter is insulting. The cornmeal gives their seafood a bad gritty taste. Their sides aren’t great either. They also forgot a whole meal from my order…. Never eat here again.

Fish good I just reheated it in the oven to be crispy collards good. But the Mac &cheese need helpppppppp !!🥲🥲🥲🥲. And you know we all look forward to the Mac n cheese . Please work on it this summer

I had an extremely disappointing experience ordering from Taste of Seafood on 125th Street. The food itself was already underwhelming, but what made it worse was the terrible packaging. Everything arrived carelessly thrown together—containers were leaking, sauces spilled all over the bag, and the presentation was completely unappetizing.

By the time I opened it, the food looked like it had been shaken around the entire trip. Items that should have been separated were mixed together, ruining both the texture and flavor. It’s clear there was little to no attention paid to how the food would travel.

For a place serving seafood, freshness and proper handling should be a priority, but this experience showed the opposite. I would not recommend ordering delivery from here unless major improvements are made in packaging and quality control.

I thought I had Covid after eating this food and I’m not joking. The Whiting fish and french fries combo had absolutely no taste and was greasy.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and overall enjoyed the food. The customer service was just okay, but the flavor of the food made up for it. I ordered the fish and shrimp combo with mac and cheese and fries for $22, along with the 3-piece whole BBQ wings for $12.
The fish and shrimp were seasoned well, the mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy, and the fries were flavorful, although slightly oily. My main complaint was the portion size on the fish and shrimp combo — for $22, I expected a bigger serving.
The BBQ wings were tasty and well seasoned, but I wish they had a little more crunch. I also tried the chipotle, jerk, and honey mustard sauces. The chipotle was easily my favorite. The jerk sauce was very thick and tasted more like a marinade than a dipping sauce, and the honey mustard just wasn’t for me.
Overall, I’d still recommend this place if you want flavorful food, but I think the portions could be better for the price.

I've been coming to this establishment since Madison ave, I've never had a problem. I love their Catfish and I've had several different items off menu and the food is amazing. I was so happy when they came to the Bronx. I was greeted the same every time. Recently I went to see there no longer there I was sad still trying to find the ppl that worked there at 1 of the other places. Back to Harlem I come for my Catfish.

I requested that they use separate containers for my order so the fish would bot get soggy from the collard greens and yams. They did not comply. They put all in one container & the fish was wet and soggy.
So I wasted money because I couldn't not eat it when it arrived. Thanks a lot for nothing!
