Abigael's is an upscale kosher (under supervision of KofK) restaurant on Broadway in New York City. its quite expensive, even by the standards of upscale "white table cloth' kosher restaurants in Manhattan. However it is really excellent and worth the cost. They have won various culinary awards.The restaurant has a varied menu and some dishes that I have never seen on a menu before.They had venison chili for several years. For some reason it does not seem to be available any more.Abigael's has an extensive wine, beer and spirits list. They have several side rooms for larger groups. Its not too noisy, so you can have business lunch or dinners there. However its big enough that it can handle family get together with kids as long as the kids are not too noisyIts certainly not inexpensive but for special events, Abigael's is probably my favorite upscale kosher restaurant.I hope everyone stays safe thru this pandemic and we can quickly get back to things like paying lots of money for a really good meal.I recently heard the restaurant will not open after they allow restaurants to reopen.I will miss Abigail's.

The dishes are consistently of high qualtity, the service towards the customers is efficient. I frequently visit this restaurant and I was never unhappy. Highly recommended.
Quite a fancy place, very good hot Kosher meal and very nice service. A little difficult to find the entrance, but it worth the short delay.

I visited this restaurant recently with my wife in honor of her birthday. We had Tim as our waiter. Tim is a very kind and warm individual, showing great hospitality toward his guests. He was able to attentively address our questions regarding the menu thoroughly and accommodate our meal according to our preferences. He was able to relate to us on a personal level by providing his own honest recommendations regarding the menu. Our meal turned out to be above and beyond our expectations. Everything was so tasty and enjoyable. My wife and I are highly impressed by his excellent demeanor and friendly personality. He would go out of his way to ask us how the food was throughout our meal, kindly providing us with any last minute touchups to the food's taste. With a pleasant smile on his face, he'd always make sure we were happy with everything. We highly endorse him and recommend him for all of Abigael's guests. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal at Abigael's and hope to come back again in the near future!

Upon arrival for a business lunch, I was held up for almost 10 (!) minutes by the host, who was having a lengthy conversation with a potential guest. When I finally met my partner inside, we were let down by a server who was not only unfriendly but also a complete amateur. Didn't know the ingredients of the food he was offering and came back from the kitchen with partial answers and an indifferent attitude. The Sea Bass was tasty but the whole experience, uninviting. Not what I had remembered from the past.

We went recently with another couple who had never been. We all ordered steaks and each of us was very satisfied...the steaks were done just as we requested, they were tasty and the portion was huge. We took home the portion we couldn't eat and had a second meal on the leftovers! Our waiter was fine and the place was not too noisy. As before it was pricey -- but it's a kosher restaurant so that is to be expected.
