I went to try this place and it was right after opening at 8am. We tried to walk in but the barista said “5 more minutes” so we sat on their bench outside. Then as the barista came out to do something we asked if sitting there was okay while we wait and she responded “well you’re already doing it” and was so rude and snarky. Really gross behavior. Idk what they were dealing with but definitely didn’t have anything to do with us. We didn’t appreciate being spoken to with such disrespect so we just left without any coffee.
EDIT: I am now noticing that this place has a pattern of rude behavior from its staff since there are many reviews indicating as much.
I’d recommend going to ANY OTHER CAFE in the area instead. I used to be a barista and work FOH for many years in NYC and this place isn’t it, unless you enjoy elitist mockery with limited items and tons of rules.

The baked goods are deliberately smothered with love and to be quite frank, I can weave back and forth between an orange juice or cortado. Either way, this place is a true gem.

Walking into Abraço feels like stepping into someone’s well-loved kitchen compact, bustling, and filled with warmth. The space may be tiny, but the energy is vibrant. You’re greeted by the scent of espresso and olive oil cake before you even hit the door.
Their coffee is punchy and confident especially the espresso, which has a signature richness and bite. But what makes Abraço special is its heart: the friendly chatter behind the counter, the locals who know each other’s orders, the handwritten notes on the wall.
It’s a café that doesn’t try to be trendy. It just is effortlessly cool, quietly iconic.

Great atmosphere with unfortunately lots of attitude from the staff. Asked about a milk alternative and was reprimanded for not reading the menu, where, apparently, it states that only whole milk is available. Not worth coming back for good pour over coffee with an attitude like that greeting you. The Olive Oil cake is way too dry.

Wonderful Italian coffee. Not too strong like most places and they get the temp just right so you can sip it right away, like in Italy. Not a laptop place so it also lends a more relaxed vibe
For the laughable amount of pretentious rules this place has, they should be at least be able to make a decent drink. Not a friendly or clean atmosphere. The space has a lot of potential.

Charming and cozy The pastries were delightful, and the peppermint tea hit the spot. While the space is rather compact and not ideal for larger gatherings, it's a lovely spot to relax and catch up with friends if you're lucky enough to grab a table.
