Lucky I found this joint decades ago. Familiar with the best bartenders and generous proprietors, who keep the joint relevant. Ukrainian owned business on e7th, not a touristic, trendy, phony joint, can meet real new Yorkers as well as transplants. It is cash only, makes sense, if you can't afford to drink, don't. A hidden gem. Truly has the spirit of NYC. Everyone is amazing all the time here. Don't bring a bad attitude, it won't be tolerated; it's the best part of the experience here.

Super cozy and cute. No wait despite NYE weekend but still busy/lively. Love the red lights. Bartender was alright / weird vibes. Maybe they were tired / had cruddy customers before me. Just had a glass of a house
