Excellent Ethiopian food. Wonderful service helping me negotiate the degrees of pepper heat so I wouldn't burst into a flame.

Addey Ababa is a delightful, family owned Ethiopian restaurant, and an excellent addition to the Washington Heights culinary community! The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, and the owners are very welcoming. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious: the lamb, veggie combo, tomato salad, and the tiramisu as well! The prices are fair for the quality and portions served. I can’t wait to go back.

Dined in the worker was great recommendation to first timer. The food was awesome and they can make some of the dishes less spicy

The owner is fabulous and service is so quick in a super chill atmosphere. I had a hot yummy tea while I waited. I usually get the veg combo which is like food for my soul , yet today I needed to go the extra mile. Bursting with flavor and plenty of injera, Dora Tibs and a must have, tomato salad. Mildly spicy and intensely flavorful. From the tea to the tibs, absolutely divine.

Just amazing food and atmosphere. The owners are lovely. I love Ethiopian but this is some of the best I’ve ever had. I had walked by several times but not stopped in until a friend recommended it and it’s delicious.

The overall experience was fine. We compared it to an Ethiopian restaurant in Philly and the food fell a little short. It was good and I would go back. We waited a long time for our bill. Small, cozy atmosphere.

First time here and it was highly recommended by others in the community. We didn’t know what to expect so went off the servers recommendation. We had the tomato salad to start. I DON’T LIKE RAW TOMATOES. I gobbled it up. We also shared the Awaze Tibs to share. So spicy so delicious. 10/10 no notes!

Vegetarian options: The vegetarian combo is a bit of all the vegetarian dishes, and they are all so good that I just get that combo every time because I cannot choose my favorite! The food has rich flavors and I always feel so good after eating it. Highly recommend.
