Absolutely delightful. My husband and I dined in for date night, and everything we ordered (lamb tibs, spicy ground beef, chickpeas, lentils) was SO good. On top of that, the staff was so warm and friendly. Such a great addition to the neighborhood!

Ordered gluten free injira and the dishes came wrapped with injira. We have no idea if that injira is gluten free and no way to contact the restaurant to find out. I’m getting sushi for dinner

This restaurant is a hidden gem. After a long and eventful day we were hoping to try something different. We were absolutely blown away by the amazing food, atmosphere and service. The three sisters who run the restaurant are incredible people. They were kind with us as we had very little familiarity with Ethiopian cuisine. The tomato salad was a fantastic starter. Perfect combinations of seasonings and spices made this a delicious treat. We followed with the lamb wot and cabbage. So perfect! Our hosts chatted with us and their warmth and hospitality ensured we will return as soon as we can.

Absolutely love the food here and so glad it opened in the heights! We walked in for lunch on a Thurs around 12pm and we were the only customers, seated immediately. Ordered samusas + meat combo and lamb platters to share btwn 3 people, which left us all full. Everything comes with injera and they bring out more if you run out. All of it was super delicious and meat was very tender. We also ordered a tiramisu to share at the end which is made in-house - also pretty fire. Total after tax and tip ended up around $20/person which is very affordable for nyc!

Food was amazing along with the staff. I had the Sambusa with lentils as an appetizers and then shared Awaze Tibs (marinated lamb) and Doro Wot (the chicken dish). Def would recommend and definitely coming back.

Amazing, flavorful food. Big portions - everything is insanely tasty. I've eaten Ethiopian food in a number of different big cities and this is hands down the best I've ever had.Vegetarian options: Many different options - just make sure to specify if you want meat and veggies options kept separate as everything is usually served on one plate.

This is such an amazing restaurant. Everything we had was cooked so beautifully, I wish I had more room to eat it all! The portions are large and the prices are low, the woman who works here is so warm and friendly and continued to fill our plates with injera as we ran out. I can't recommend this place enough, I'll be back as often as possible!

Everything is delicious, they kept the injera flowing so don’t worry about running out! One of the best meals I’ve had in

Tonight, I had the most fantastic meal I have had in months. To sum up our evening at Addey Ababa, I have three words: Warmth, Flavor, and Shock. The warmth of the atmosphere and the customer service were simply unmatched. Our waitress was attentive, kind, and made the experience perfect by being attentive, and bringing more injera just before we needed it.The flavor overall, is impressive in depth, balance, and quality. The injera itself is perfection, and comes out fresh and in generous portions. The spices and seasonings are bold, and it is clear that the chef took time with every dish. There certainly is love put into this food. When speaking of shock, it pertains to the fact that Addey Ababa, a restaurant with soulful, top-tier cuisine was not completely full of customers. I go to popular restaurants all over NYC, and rarely have food as good as I had tonight. This is a restaurant and a chef that deserves a line out the door! Please, support this local business, walk in and grab a table, it is only a matter of time before this place becomes a mainstay of the neighborhood.
