Addey Ababa Reviews
Great food! A little cleaner and pricier joint than other Ethiopian restaurants in NYC. Less greasy and more nuanced main, sides are great, the cabbage stood out to us more than the rest. Sides are a little lean - first time finishing the whole portion at an Ethiopian place for me - but still plenty for a good meal.
My new favorite spot in NYC 🤤
Delicious. Fresh. Authentic spices. Wonderful family restaurant with high quality home-cooking and friendly service. Some of the best Ethiopian food in NYC.

Addey Ababa is a hidden gem in the neighborhood, offering some of the best Ethiopian food around. This delightful, family-owned restaurant adds to the vibrant Washington Heights culinary scene. The lamb tibs, veggie combo, spicy ground beef, chickpeas, and lentils are all flavorful choices, served with plenty of injera. The interior feels high-class yet comfortable, making it a perfect spot for a date night or casual dining. The staff are very welcoming and attentive, providing excellent service and making guests feel at home. Customers have enjoyed dishes like tomato salad, lamb wot, and the must-try tiramisu, which many say is one of the best they’ve ever had. The restaurant offers big portions at fair prices for the quality served. With a warm atmosphere and thoughtful service, Addey Ababa is a friendly place that promises a memorable dining experience.
