The chicken is good, but white sauce has no flavor, and barbaque sauce tastes artificial. The salad is just lettuce, and you have wait for one hour on line, guess that's what you get for $9.00 Not what I hoped for. The Halal Guys on 53 St., at least you get a good amount of lean chicken, with lettuce, onions, peppers, tomatoe and with white, hot, and Smokey Kraft Barbaque Sauce on the side, for $11.00 dollars. Not a bad deal.
Food is fine not too special that I haven't tried in past. If you have to wait for more than 15 mins... Trust me guys not worth it.
Overhyped. Had better halal chicken over rice in a random town in North Carolina.

2 crazy hours in line. But what makes it all worth the wait is my kids' reaction. They absolutely loved it a ?%
Update as of Oct. 2024:
my kids want me to drive 4 hrs to NYC to grab 1 and drive back. I told them I'd do it if there were no additional 2 hrs. waiting in line.

Adel’s Famous Halal Food Cart truly delivers some of the best halal food around. The chicken and lamb are cooked to perfection, seasoned expertly, and paired with their signature yellow rice for a flavor combination that’s hard to beat. Topped with their iconic white sauce, it’s a meal that’s simple but incredibly satisfying—something many try to replicate but few succeed in doing as well as Adel’s.
Having tried Halal Guys both in Toronto and New York, I can confidently say that Adel’s quality is leagues ahead; the food feels fresher, more flavorful, and just overall more impressive. Be sure to get extra sauce on the side—it’s absolutely worth it! The portions are generous too—one order filled me up, and friends often couldn’t even finish half.
The naan is a nice addition, though it can get soggy if you don’t eat it soon after ordering.
The one drawback, however, is the wait time. While I understand the demand, the service moves pretty slowly, and there can be mix-ups, drivers trying to get in line, and occasional tempers flaring due to the long waits. It feels like there’s room for improvement in how they manage the line and flow of service. Even the order-ahead option can still mean waiting a bit.
Despite this, I would highly recommend Adel’s—it’s easily some of the best halal food in the city. If they could streamline the service, it would be an unbeatable spot for delicious, authentic halal foo

We are waiting for 40 mt on wed night.
The food is okay, not make me want to come back specially with a long line.
But i do admitted that the chicken much better than the lamb.
I also add side of falafel(2pcs) nothing memorable about this one.
I took it home and ate it,went to sleep and forgot about the taste the next day.

No doubt Adel's food is scrumptious. I had to wait for an hour to get it but it was worth waiting. Spices were perfectly balanced and sauces taste was at par. Food aroma makes you ravenous while waiting for your turn.
