Pav bhaji was good. The dosa was disappointing. It was quite cold inside the restaurant.

Tucked away on a quiet street in Murray Hill, Ahimsa was a pleasant surprise in food and atmosphere. We’re not vegetarians and there were so many things we wanted to try. Great for gluten free diets. We had a bottle of wine, samosas, onion pakoras, alu gobi, naan bread and an enormous dosa filled with a delicious mushroom, potato and onion filling.
The staff were so nice and accommodating!

Truly exceptional food and very nice atmosphere, great service. We had the Tofu Kofta, which was the perfect amount of spicy, creamy, and so well cooked. Garlic naan was dotted with fresh garlic. And a huge part-thin dosa with potatoes and other sauces on the side. I’m saying perfect a lot, but it was perfect.

Great food- Great service- This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the city- The Dosa's are spectacular- The wine pours are super generous and much appreciated! THe place is always busy - even on a cold wnter Monday! your know its a good sign when the Indian restaurant is full of Indian diners!
The food was sub-standard, creamy, dense and mildly flavorful. It's dumbed down for an american palate that wants a hint and not the zest of i dian cuisine. I suppose if you're vegan this place is for you. Artificial and Vapid
Everything aces except the parking problem that NYC has!
Food was great, authentic and cokes with freshness that one can savor.
Thank you!

Must visit place for vegetarians. Their kala khatta drink and vada pav were amazing and must try.
Decent food..good options. All vegan so must visit for vegeterians or vegans. Warm, cosy place and 8 mins from grand central. Generally 10-15 mins in the evening.

We have been there couple of time & both times had great experience. Well priced compare to other similar places in mid town. Place is nice & clean. This is becoming our go-to Indian spot in Midtown. The food is always delicious and fresh, The staff is very kind and always smiling, which make food for delicious.
It was nice, comfortable, accommodating. The server was very helpful and supportive of our requests.
The taste of the food was pretty good. We tasted paneer kathi roll(which was okayish), Ras malai(excellent), Pondicherry masala dosa(sambhar was really good, dosa was also good), pav bhaji(amazing taste), kala khatta(okayish) and vada pav(good).
