I had the best bagel and lox at this place would 100% recommend as well as their scones. Didn't try the sandwiches but will be coming back if we visit again. Lots of options and essentials.

Garbage place to get your sandwhich. Got a special which only came on a roll (small) and they MICROWAVED all the ingredients of the sandwich. Then did not even toast the bread or anything. There are better places in the area. Do not come here unless they improve quality.

Affordable delis/bodegas are nearly extinct in this part of town, so I'm happy Alan's is still here, providing tasty sandwiches at fair prices in a sea of overpriced mediocrity. The staff are usually perky and helpful.

A pretty standard shop with an assortment of snacks and drinks. I usually go for their sandwiches, which are great for their taste and value. With their student discount, it's about $6 for a huge sandwich. I can easily eat it for two small meals. For a little independent deli, they have some some menu items that really go beyond your standard sandwiches. One of my favorites is the turkey and brie with sun-dried tomatoes.

A nice enjoyable sandwich and good value. Nice selection.Wheelchair accessibility: No ramps to worry about, just some floor displays were in the way.

always issue with price..you ask how much food is you are told one price..get to pay and a higher price and the person who told u initial price looks dumbfounded...its nearby my office but hate going there always issue with price always. .$8 for 3egg whites on a roll is pure robbery!!!!!

I asked for a toasted turkey sandwich. I expecting EVERYTHING from the cheese (which is the most important) to the bread to be hot. Instead i was given a crispy burnt bread with everything still cold…If I’m going to pay $9 and some change for a sandwich I expect for it to be properly made not half a$$ed. I’m still going to eat this sad sandwich only because I can not afford to throw out food. Do better please!

Went in for breakfast and saw this little guy. For the prices they charge for the food, I think they can afford exterminators. When showed the half eaten candy bar, the guy acted like I ate it .. then when showed the pic, he asked if it was still there ..I’m sure many stores have mice and roaches .. this is just so people know.. and are aware!

I routinely go here because it’s convenient. Here are some good and bad:1. Pay Cash if you can. You get a nominal fee if credit card2. The column in the middle of the store is annoying AF. Always have to go around.3. Salad bar is totally good for me. Cheaper than moat places. But for what i want on my salad, its totally good.4. ATM always seems like its out of order. Don’t rely on this place for an ATM.5. The workers work hard. But the cashier should stick to cashiering. During high times, to have cashier go down the counter to make a coffee or other drink slows things down.

Food is good but prices are not correct. They are putting a surcharge on every order automatically and won't change it.

Much better prices than delis in Midtown; I routinely paid around $10 for a sandwich, chips, and drink, which is pretty good in inflation-era Manhattan. They always gave me good portions for my egg salad sandwich, and the staff was nice.

They over price everything. You will pay a different price everytime you come here. I work around the corner. They charge extra for the simplest things..oh it's toasted, with cheese extra 2 dollars. Their chicken is never fresh, the bacon is paper thin and expect to spend 12 dollars for ice coffee and breakfast sandwich. Customer service lacks in register not the food area. But the food quality is not good either.
