We went to Altesi to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food was absolutely outstanding. The wait staff and the owner were extremely accommodating and helpful. Our friends who joined us for the birthday were so amazed with the food and happy that I helped them to find a new favorite restaurant. Altesi is absolutely a gem among many Italian restaurant in NYC. It offers delicious and the best quality food with the warm and professional service.

Very nice spot for a bite near Central Park. Not bursting with flavor, but very tasty and perfect for many pallettes. Very tasty glass of crisp white wine. Worth a visit if in the area.

After walking through the French Alliance Street Fair, my sister and I found this restaurant was a welcome relief from the crowds and summer heat. The food was superb. The beef carpaccio and veal tonnato appetizers were excellent and portions generous. The pastas, the squid ink tagliatelle with calamari and the orrechiette with sausage and broccoli rabe were perfectly executed. Although, the pistachio tartuffo was very good, the was a bit extreme in price. All the staff we encountered were professional, attentive and helpful with ordering, especially Angelo. We will be returning.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, which was on par with what we’re used to in Europe. The service was excellent throughout—attentive, friendly, and professional. We unintentionally forgot to leave a tip, but even after that, the service remained just as outstanding. That just goes to show the genuine hospitality and dedication of the staff. Highly recommended!

Everything was amazing, they are super accommodating especially with newborn, toddlers etc. parties. We went here with our newborn and the atmosphere was perfect. Saw a lot of kids at the restaurant too! They were very accommodating in terms of having a stroller inside the restaurant. Only one thing to note if you plan on going to the restaurant with baby and if you plan on sitting longer (which is not a complete deal breaker) they don’t have baby diaper changing station in the bathroom which made it difficult for us to change our baby’s diaper.

It was Mother's Day so they were busy, but reasonably attentive, if a bit harried, which I completely understand. place was a bit louder than usual, but again understandable given the holiday. Food was outstanding, and while the restaurant is not inexpensive, given the quality/presentation and sophisticated cuisine; it was worth it. I really enjoy this place and will be back. It's the perfect UES old school, “white tablecloth“, small venue with personal service for a lovely Italian meal in an urbane and congenial setting.

Not everything I ate was for me (not at all a commentary on quality of the food, but rather personal preference), but our waiter was very accommodating and provided great suggestions to make our experience better.
