A sophisticated neighborhood gem that brings the elegance of Tuscany to the city, the atmosphere is perfectly polished and the authentic Italian flavors never miss.

Friendly italian restaurant with a neighborhood feel in an upscale neighborhood. Looks like its been here a while, while the main area looks very nice the areas at the edges could use a refresh which you will notice if you go down to the bathroom. Food was overall good, but my veal was a little tough.

Bien, buen servicio, buena comida. El precio nos pareció un poco excesivo. Por lo demás todo bien.

One time while visiting, we stumbled upon the neighborhood gem on the UAE. Every time we visit NYC, we come back and eat here. Great food and service in a small venue tucked under a walk-up. Will be back again.

Altesi Downtown has been a favorite of my family for years! Now I can have a perfect dining experience uptown as well! Thank you Altesi!

Altesi Madison is a true Upper East Side gem. The moment you walk in, you feel the charm of an authentic Italian restaurant—elegant, welcoming, and consistently exceptional. The service is gracious and attentive, and the food is always beautifully prepared. This time I had wood-burning oven pizza—light, flavorful, and beautifully blistered with those signature charcoal spots that give each bite a delicious smoky flavor and crisp texture. Altesi Madison is a great Italian spot on the Upper East Side with warm service and consistently delicious food.

I am a regular. Always had a good experience. Don't know what happened but my pizza was a disaster. Likely the worst pizza that I ever had. Complete over burnt.

Lovely and delicious neighborhood restaurant on UES of Manhattan. Their lentil soup was especially yummy. We will return!

I was disappointed: 1. My table had a dirty white tablecloth on it. It was stained, and a black eyelash was on it. It turned me off. 2. The waiter looked like he could have used a shower, and his white shirt was too big around his neck, making him look unkempt. 3. There was a server who served us with blue latex gloves on - big turn off 4. The dishes had fingerprints on them. Fingerprints on the perimeter of a dish are a turn-off. 5. I went downstairs to the bathroom. There was an odor in the air. I wonder how clean the kitchen is in this restaurant. I had been to the restaurant once and I liked it. Won't go back.

Food was delicious. Wine was delicious. Service was great. Restaurant could use a fresh coat of paint and area where the bathrooms are fixed up.

One of the best calamari appetizers ever--so light and crispy. The salad (shaved brussel sprouts/apple/pecans) was uniquely delicious and the sea bass was wonderful. My dinner companions also loved their meals and desserts. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was lovely. I was very impressed and will return!

ALTESI is always excellent. Wonderful food, beautiful atmosphere and the most welcoming staff on the UES.

Delicious food, attentive servers, lovely room. A bit pricey, but wonderful for a splurge.
