Came here for the Happy hour and it was great. All the options were so good!. I ordered the special croquettes and they were 10/1000, got a glass of champagne and a glass of white wine, then got the Tuna tartar and end up this perfect evening with dessert, which was amazing too. Service was nice and kind but ny server didn’t follow up with me very much, I only saw hm when he took the order and then he disappeared. I had to ask the bussers/runners for help all the time. Besides that I loved this place and definitely coming back☺️.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Amelie Bistro and wine Bar, and I cannot praise the hospitality enough. From the moment I walked in, the staff's attentiveness was exceptional. Not only did they provide excellent service, but there were also thoughtful gestures that made the experience truly special. The warm and welcoming atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Whether it was remembering our preferences or going the extra mile to ensure our comfort, the staff exceeded expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who values not only delicious food but also an outstanding level of hospitality. It's a gem that deserves to be shared.

We had an excellent dinner here. Steak Frites were terrific, especially the Frites.Service was good, quick and attentive.Prices are reasonable. Dessert was good too.The only drawback was eating in the outside covered, heated shed ..not much atmosphere or comfort.Highly recommend.

Brussel sprouts were delicious, staff was very chatty so getting ahold of them was a little difficult. If you sit at the bar in the winter you will be freezing. Wine by the glass was pricyVegetarian options: Not too many veggie options but that is relatively standard for french fare

I want to start with saying get the French toast. Just do it. Listen, we walked seven blocks home and a full avenue and not once did we stop talking about the meal we had. Five stars isn’t enough. Do yourself a favor and go during brunch hours. So reasonably priced for the quality. I’ve eaten at many Michelin restaurants that don’t even come close. The bread and butter were bottomless to start which has become a rarity in the city. Here are the items that stood out to me — 1.) oysters, very typical and always delicious, and very reasonably priced. Would certainly order again. 2) chev salad (the one with melted goat cheese) this blew my mind. The dressing was outstanding and fresh and the butter lettuce was everything. The flavors complemented each other so well. I have NO NOTES. 3.) Beef tar tar - it was perfect. Just perfect. No notes. The tar tar was so perfectly chopped along with the herbs and mixed so well. No notes. None. 4.) FRENCH TOAST. This is the most important part. This changed my life. The toast was toasting (seems like without sauce you could run a knife long the outside edge and get that perfectly crisp sound) and the inside was so thoroughly soaked with butter and milk and egg that it forms a custard. Topped with caramelized banana like that? It’s unreal. You know how you try a highly rated place and you leave excited about how good it was but there was still SOME element that wasn’t perfect to you? You have at least one note deep inside despite thinking the meal was fantastic? Yeah, that won’t happen here. I think you’ll find yourself screaming about it for seven blocks like we did.

Amelie used to be our second house since the opening. The food, the atmosphere, the way you were welcomed, it was an amazing gem in the neighborhood. Apparently one of the owners has left and it's no longer the same restaurant at all. The food is still very good but there is no longer that little extra that made our evening extraordinary. Now you are greeted by a hostess who just makes you want to leave and then you are served by an arrogant tattooed waiter who looks down on you from the start and who clearly prefers to go drinking at the bar than to pay attention to his customers. We definitely won"t come back anymore

My favorite place on the UWS. We had Jesús as a waiter and he was spectacular. Best energy. Would come here everyday if I could.

We ate here twice on our trip and both times were exceptional. I highly recommend making a reservation to ensure a table. And if you like oysters this is where you want to go!

One of my favorite Bistrot located in the Upper West side offers outstanding French specialties like Onion Soup, Escargots, Pepper Steak and Magret de Canard. Traditional deserts like Apple Tarte Tatin, and a wonderful Chocolate Mousse are not to be missed. Service is very dedicated to make your experience special and the environment is casual yet cosy. Highly recommended!

While we were waiting to be seated, two white women (who arrived after us) walked past us and were seated immediately at the table we were eyeing. We were completely ignored. Then we were told that not a single one of the many empty tables outside was available for us. The treatment you receive here seems to be dependent on what you look like. Definitely recommend you take your business elsewhere if you are a POC.

The specials were good, the steak was good, but the fish entre I ordered was okay. The banana creme brulee was awesome! Would go back for just that.
