I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful Indian food restaurant in this neighborhood. I love the vegetable dishes, as well as the side orders and really everything I’ve tasted. The staff is very nice as well.

Indian Tanpura is a hidden gem in the UWS, offering excellent Indian food with friendly service. The portions are generous, and the setting is intimate. Prices are affordable, and the staff is warm & welcoming. The owner is very kind. Diners enjoy vegetable samosas, Saag Paneer, garlic naan, aloo paratha, and Chicken Kashmir. The food is delicious and creative, and the atmosphere is really good. Indian Tanpura is a really good option because it's an Indian place run by Indian people that really know their culinary culture.
