They probably have the best ventilation system I’ve ever feel in a public places. Very authentic, extremely friendly staff. Tasty drinks. Affordable prices. Will be visiting many times more! Great thank you to the owners and managers of this place!

Three words: RACISM!! DISCRIMINATION!!!! PREJUDICE!!!! This is a racist establishment. If you are on the darker side of melanin, or honestly, have any melanin at all, do not go. My boyfriend and I drove 10 hours from Michigan to enjoy a friend’s birthday. While waiting for a concert to start across the street, we decided to go in billiards. My friends, which one is very light skin and the rest are Caucasian, walked in before us because my boyfriend and I were outside talking and enjoying the environment. We walk in, calling my friends so we can be on the same pool table as them and walk pass security. After about 2 mins of trying to figure out where they were and walk up to get in, instantly , the security, Caucasian, say we can’t come in because my boyfriend is “too drunk”. Remind you, we just walked in and walked up and waited to see where our friends were inside, my boyfriend decided to grab the rail and be on his phone texting, no stumbling or moving back and forth, just chilling, one hand on the rail, one hand on his phone, feet crossed CHILLIN, waiting to get in. I have security grab the owner since he proceeded to say we can’t get in because he was too drunk, so I ask him to grab the owner because at this point I’m thinking they may be confused with someone else that was there prior that may have gotten kicked out. The owner (wearing glasses and a hat) was behind the bar, walk up to me instantly says “listen…” with an attitude and proceeds to talk to me like I’m remedial saying he can’t come in. So now at this point, I mention that it must be a race thing because everyone here is white or VERY light skin, no dark color and that’s the only thing my boyfriend had different from everyone else. So we walk out, on the phone with my friends letting them know what’s going on. The owner was flirting / liked one of the friends I was with and she asked him why he didn’t let us in… he supposedly realized that they were “talking about the wrong person” and that we can come in..NO THANK YOU!!!! I think that was an excuse because he realized what group we were with and he was flirting with my friend. Another thing that was mentioned from the owner as he was flirting with the friend of mine, said that “the girl that he was with” (talking about me), is spicy and aggressive.. yeah, because I called them out on their racism and they felt a way. If I could give this place 0 stars and wanted to spend money on taking them to court I would. DO NOT GO!!!!

Myself and a group of 6 of my friends drove two cars from Michigan to NYC. Take note This was birthday celebration on the trip itinerary we chose this place prior to going to the main event. Let me tell you. That was the worst decision made. Last night of the trip and my experience here ruined what would have been an amazing 4day trip to NYC FOR MY BIRTHDAY. They allowed 5 including myself out of 7 entry. The ethic group of my friends is pretty diverse. To say less although I would love to be very detailed. The two they denied entry to were of color. And they claimed they denied entry because of one of those 2 people of color was to intoxicated because he was leaning on a counter on his phone……… this was our first stop of the night to drink/pregame so we were all sober. The owner, manager, bouncers were extremely agrees towards my friends of color and kicked them out just for that reason. I would never come back to this place. And my whole purpose of this review is to provide clarity that the rating of this bar is deceiving probably fabricated by individuals who know the people that work there. I’m sharing because I hope this review will eliminate the next person from the catastrophic racist treatment myself and my friends commandeered during our time here at assterdam billards club.God bless

A nice evening spoiled by management insisting we went over time and charging extra. Either leave after an hour or stay another . Can’t understand why they charge per person not per hour/table as this is very unfair. Good tables and attentive staff but the management rules are very much spoiling the customers experience.

Old School Pool Club with high quality tables and a great vibe. Drinks were tasty. But be prepared to wait, it’s always busy but the pool is definitely worth it

I was outside witness an argument between young polite black gentlemen who helped others get by while Elderly Man looks to be African Americans his 50s 0r 60s working in your establishment using harsh racial remarks against young polite gentlemen and threaten him. Is this the way your staff conduct business in this diverse community, you seriously have a talk to that elderly man because he shows nothing but racial discrimination and I am extremely ashamed about all what take place. Please change before civil lawsuit will be filed against you.Thank you took your time to read my review.

Dishonest place, signed up at the entrance and was told it was a 30 minute wait. After an hour in, noticed they keep letting larger groups in to make more money per person on the table. It’s expensive enough as is, no need to be dishonest

The bathroom is creepy and super dark. Everything was outdated and dusty, felt like I was in a horror movie. It served its purpose, I learned how to play pool but that was because of good company. I wouldn’t go back.
