Amsterdam Billiards is a very popular and crowded place, especially on Friday nights. The whole setup is absolutely marvelous. It is a great place to hang with friends, shoot pool, grab a few drinks, and relax from work. The vibes are great. There are well over thirty 9 ft tables, and the billiard tables and equipment are in good condition. The place is clean, the music is fun, and there is a great selection of drinks.
The clientele is younger. You will have to wait in the bar area for a table, often for 45-50 minutes. It is somewhat crowded, but it remains a great place to play. They definitely have daily specials for any type of game, and the play rates are awesome. However, they charge per person by the hour, which some find expensive, noting you pay Manhattan prices. The wait for a table means you often order drinks beforehand. Overall, it is a spot many recommend you see for yourself.
