Staff were very kind while I waited for a pick-up order, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Gave me some extra hot sauce which was delicious. The chicken Mahkani had tender pieces of chicken with a very rich sauce. I will return to sit down and dine
This is the spot. Think of the best goat biryani you’ve ever had. Great. Now multiply it by ten in your mind and this is the experience you’ll have eating their goat biryani. Mooni provides great service and it’s arguably the best Indian food on the UES. Fan for life.
I ordered takeout - lamb vindaloo and aloo paratha. Absolutely delicious combination. If you haven’t tried it yet, the vindaloo has a nicely spiced and lightly vinegary flavor, while the aloo paratha was freshly made and stuffed with seasoned potatoes and peas. I added my own dal makni to the mix and might’ve seen heaven. 10/10
