Very good gelato; as an Italian, I genuinely appreciate Anita Gelato and consider it one of the better options in NYC.
I stopped by this location today for a large takeaway. Unfortunately, my experience started on the wrong foot, as the first staff member who served me came across as quite rude and she focused more on explaining what could not be done rather than offering alternatives.
Thankfully, Eduardo stepped in and completely turned the experience around. He was kind, accommodating, and made sure I left satisfied. A big thank you to him; I only wish more servers approached customer service the way he does. I also sincerely hope he gets to keep the tip I gave him, as he truly earned it.
Great quality and super friendly service. There are tons of interesting flavors, and the staff is happy to give samples and recommendations. I wasn’t going to get anything, but I tried a vegan chocolate cookie flavor, and it was so good I had to get a scoop. And the scoops are not cheap, but they have been really generous, so, this would be a perfect time to share a scoop with someone.
Clearly my opinion isn’t unique, as there was a line of people out the door, but it moves fast enough.
Great gelato selection and Great customer service
Awesome gelato
This truly Italian gelato house has a wide variety of flavors that blows away the others that are mediocre & overcharge with smaller portions from Van Leeuwen & Venchi it is worth going out of the way for…
Very disappointing, not sure why there is so much hype. Long line because they’re so slow to serve, very very sweet too much sugar, not balanced taste. Tried 5 flavors yogurt is prob the best. No water fountain after the sugar rush
Quality dessert spot that I appreciate because people with certain allergies/intolerances can find something fairly highly quality, would recommend if you are looking for a nice quick dessert spot in the city
Gelato is fine but not great, prices are insane and the line is insane. Gentile across town is the best I’ve had outside of Italy. Go there.
The pistachio gelato was really tasty! Loved that they had a lot of indoor seating too.
Incredibly patient staff!! Even with a crowd, everyone got amazing attention, tastes if requested, and a huge variety of flavors. Not cheap, but a nice treat.

Tons of flavors; great quality. Staff is incredibly kind despite how hectic it can get
The watermelon and mint dairy free ice cream is the single most refreshing and flavorful ice cream I’ve ever had in the city. Hats off to Anita Gelato!
Amazing flavors! Best service, especially by Juan!
Wow … run don’t walk to Anita’s … great friendly see and amazing Gelato… mint and dark chocolate ruled
The shop is spacious, the decor is beautiful, and there are many unique flavor options.
The two-scoop option is very generous, and the gelato is really good.
Excellent service!
